Los Angeles Kings defenseman Alexander Edler (ankle) has been played on Long-Term Injured Reserve. The veteran rearguard has already missed four games and is set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines. Edler fractured his left ankle on Dec. 11, so he'll indeed need quite some time to get healthy again. The Swede has done a good job for the Kings this season with 11 points, 43 hits and 42 blocks in 26 games. The Kings also moved Sean Walker (knee) on Long-Term Injured Reserve, and he's already ruled out for the season.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
