Adolis Garcia Earns ALCS MVP Honors
1 year agoIn a no-brainer call, Texas Rangers outfielder Adolis Garcia was named the American League Championship Series MVP after the Rangers defeated the Houston Astros 11-4 in Game 7 on Monday to advance to the World Series. Garcia capped off a dominant ALCS performance by going 4-for-5 with two more home runs, five RBI and three runs scored on Monday. His 15 RBI set a new postseason record for a single series. The Rangers are hoping Garcia's bat stays scorching hot heading into the Fall Classic. The 30-year-old Cuban slugger has homered in four straight games (five homers total) and has now gone 17-for-52 (.327) with seven long balls, a double, 20 RBI, one stolen base and 10 runs scored in his first 12 playoff games.
