Javonte Williams fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 3 (2024). Should you start or sit Javonte Williams for fantasy football lineups?
BALLER MOVE: Start in 12+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: RB3
ANALYSIS: It has not been a great start to the season for Denver Broncos running back Javonte Williams. He is only averaging 2.11 yards per carry through the first two games and currently ranks as the RB38 in PPR formats. Last week, Williams rushed 11 times for 17 yards. The good news for him, though, is that he gets a Buccaneers defense in Week 3 that has struggled to stop the run in 2024.
Opposing running backs are averaging 4.5 yards per carry against Tampa's front seven so far this year. As a result, Williams could be a solid flex play in most 12-plus team leagues this weekend.
A big reason why Javonte Williams struggled on the ground against the Steelers:
He faced a stacked box on 63.64% of his runs, per @ZebraSports.
He was the only RB to face a stacked box on more than 50% of his runs in the entire NFL.

The Buccaneers will also likely be missing Vita Vea (knee) -- who is listed as doubtful for Sunday -- so Williams should be able to find some holes in the run game. That makes the Broncos running back a potential flex play in Week 3, especially considering Tampa has given up the third-most fantasy points to running backs through the first two weeks.
