DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks (3/28/22): Today's Top NBA DFS Lineups

Trae Young - Atlanta Hawks

The top daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on March 28, 2022. Juan Carlos Blanco provides NBA DFS analysis and sleeper picks for building optimal DFS rosters.

As the NBA begins the penultimate week of its regular season in earnest Monday night, we have a robust nine-game slate on tap that's once again replete with postseason implications. Crunch time the likes of which many contending teams are in the midst of right now typically demand high workloads from star players, which naturally benefits us for DFS purposes.

There are some big names on the injury report Monday night, but with 18 teams in action, the player pool still has more than enough options at each level of the salary scale to build balanced, high-upside lineups with.

This article will provide you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 3/28/22. Remember to monitor the NBA injury report as the slate can completely change before lineups lock. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings and FanDuel Guards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Trae Young - PG/SG, ATL at IND ($10,800 DK; $10,100 FD)

Young has been outstanding against the Pacers this season, averaging over 60 DK points per game over three meetings while shooting 58.2 percent, including 55.2 percent from three-point range. The star point guard is also coming in having scored over 60 DK points in two of his last three games, while the Pacers arrive allowing the fourth-highest offensive efficiency to point guards (27.2 percent), as well as the second-most DK (54.7) and third-most FD (53.3) points per game to ones in the last seven. With Atlanta fighting to ensure it keeps its play-in spot at minimum, Young should be heavily involved as usual Monday.

Tyrese Haliburton - PG/SG, IND vs. ATL ($9,200 DK; $7,500 FD)

That said, Haliburton makes for an intriguing option on the other side of the Pacers-Hawks clash. The versatile second-year pro is likely to be less rostered than usual due to back-to-back underwhelming efforts, but he still naturally offers a ceiling north of 50 fantasy points on both sites. Haliburton's FD salary in particular has seen a bit of a corresponding drop in response to the last two games, but he's an interesting tournament play on both sites against a Hawks team he's shot 48.9 percent against this season, including 50.0 percent from three-point range. Atlanta has also allowed over 45 fantasy points per game to SGs on either site in the last seven, while Haliburton has exceeded 40 fantasy points on each site in two of three games versus the Hawks.

Dennis Schroder - PG/SG, HOU vs. SAS ($5,000 DK; $4,600 FD)

Schroder is still struggling with efficiency as usual, but he's still finding ways to deliver on modest salaries on most nights recently. The veteran has scored over 20 fantasy points on either site in five of the last seven, a sample that includes three tallies greater than 30 on DK and two such efforts on FD. The Spurs make for good candidates to extend his solid stretch of production, as San Antonio is now allowing the second-highest offensive efficiency to point guards (27.6 percent) ahead of only Houston, along with over 50 fantasy points per game to PGs in the last 15. What's more, the Spurs are also ranked in the bottom half of the league in offensive efficiency given up to second-unit players (41.1 percent), furthering Schroder's case at very reasonable salaries.

ALSO CONSIDER: Dejounte Murray, PG, SAS at HOU ($11,000 DK; $10,000 FD)

DraftKings and FanDuel Forwards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Julius Randle - PF, NYK vs. CHI ($9,400 DK, $8,300 FD)

Randle returned from a quadriceps injury Sunday against the Pistons and produced 40.3 DK/39.9 FD points across just 31 minutes, dispelling any doubts as to his health. The big man will naturally be a big part of the Knicks' final push to try and get into the play-in level, and Monday, he faces a Bulls team he's had no trouble producing against all season. Randle is averaging over 50 fantasy per game in three encounters with Chicago, shooting 58.8 percent over that span. Meanwhile, the Bulls are also allowing the seventh-highest offensive efficiency to power forwards (27.6 percent), along with 46.7 DK/44.9 FD points per game to the position.

Evan Mobley - PF, CLE vs. ORL ($7,700 DK; $7,200 FD)

Mobley is averaging 37.6 DK/38.5 FD points per 36 minutes with Jarrett Allen (finger) off the floor, and although he's turned in three straight performances that have been a bit off the pace of his current salaries, that could certainly change in a big way Monday. The Magic have been an absolute sieve in the frontcourt most of the season, and Mobley is already averaging over 36 fantasy points on each site against them in three games. Orlando is also yielding is also ranked in the bottom half of the league in offensive efficiency allowed to centers (32.6 percent) and over 55 fantasy points per game to the position for the season.

Keldon Johnson - SF/PF, SAS at HOU ($6,700 DK; $6,700 FD)

Johnson has shot a blistering 62.5 percent, including 46.7 percent from distance, in three games against the Rockets this season, and he comes in averaging an impressive 21.3 points, 6.3 rebounds and 3.5 assists over his last five games while shooting 49.5 percent, including 40.8 percent from behind the arc. Houston has struggled in the frontcourt all season and is giving up NBA-high 28.4 percent offensive efficiency to Johnson's power forward position, along with the most DK (51.1) and FD (49.6) points per game to fours. Johnson has also been a bit more of a productive fantasy player on the road, enhancing his case in a key late-season game for San Antonio.

ALSO CONSIDER: Aleksej Pokusevski, SF/PF, OKC at POR ($5,900 DK, $6,300 FD)

DraftKings and FanDuel Centers - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Nikola Jokic -  DEN at CHA ($12,200 DK; $10,900 FD)

Jokic may be an obvious and expensive selection both, but he's still worthy of highlighting in what has been one of the most rewarding matchups for centers all season. The Hornets just allowed a 20-point, 14-rebound double-double to a much less versatile big man in Andre Drummond on Sunday night, and Charlotte is now conceding the sixth-highest offensive efficiency to fives (33.8 percent), along with 59 DK/57.7 FD points per game to the position for the season. Jokic scored 65.8 DK/ 61.7 FD points in his one prior encounter with the Hornets this season, and he comes in having exceeded 60 fantasy points on either site in four of the last six games alone.

Jakob Poeltl, SAS at HOU ($6,600 DK; $7,400 FD)

Poeltl has had his way with the Rockets this season, scoring no fewer than 32 and as many as 47.5 fantasy points in three games versus Houston. The big man has been particularly impressive in the post-All-Star-break portion of the season, averaging 14.8 points, 9.5 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.8 blocks per game during that span. Houston continues to be the worst team in the NBA statistically against centers as well, allowing the highest offensive efficiency (37.7 percent) and most DK (62.1) and FD (62.2) points per game to the position. The Rockets are also giving up the most points in the paint (52.2) and most blocks (5.9) per game, two weaknesses that dovetail perfectly with Poeltl scoring a career-high 87.7 percent of his points in the paint and also averaging a co-career-high 1.8 blocks per contest.

ALSO CONSIDER: Bam Adebayo, MIA vs. SAC ($8,000 DK; $8,100 FD)
