Adam Koffler - RotoBaller

275 articles

Adam has been with RotoBaller since 2021 and in the fantasy sports industry since early 2020. In those 5+ years, he has grown his following on X from a couple hundred people to over 29K. Adam has been following the NFL and NBA since he was 10 years old, and has been playing fantasy sports since 2001. Growing up, Adam played all sports, but primarily basketball and baseball. However, as he became more and more attached to the NFL (and the Philadelphia Eagles, his favorite team), Adam started to become well-versed in fantasy football. And then, in 2020, he and a friend (Dan Titus, Fantasy Basketball Analyst) decided to turn their passion for fantasy football into something more. On a whim, they traveled to the FSGA conference in Las Vegas, and the rest is history. Adam started in the industry working on a news desk, and then his work grew from there. He started writing DFS articles and doing start/sit forums on X, answering hundreds, and even thousands of questions at times. In his time at RotoBaller, with four years of reps, Adam has become an expert in the field, writing over 250 articles about fantasy football and basketball to help people win their leagues. Currently, he writes a weekly risers and fallers column and contributes to a weekly start 'em, sit 'em column. You can find him on X @AdamKoffler.

Fantasy Football Risers and Fallers - Week 2

We are officially back! Week 1 of the 2024 NFL season is in the books. Let it out, this is a safe space. Christian McCaffrey and Puka Nacua managers are going through it right about now. But that’s ok, there’s a lot of season left to be played. Enough of the injuries, we finally have […]

Early Round Running Back Landmines to Avoid in 2024 Fantasy Football Drafts

"How should I start my draft?" It's a common question that many fantasy analysts get asked, and for good reason. It's not only important to click on the right players at the beginning of your draft, but it's also just as important to avoid certain players at the beginning of your draft. In essence, let […]

WR Fantasy Football Draft Sleepers for 2024 - Joshua Palmer, Rashid Shaheed, Demario Douglas, more

What's a sleeper anyway? Generally speaking, it's a player who's either lesser-known or undervalued by the market. It could be a guy people aren't thinking about for a variety of reasons. However, each one of these guys highlighted in this article offers some upside at a relatively cheap acquisition cost. They're not going to command […]

Early-Round Fantasy Football Landmines to Avoid in 2024

You don't win your fantasy league on draft night. However, you can certainly lose it. In this article, I'll take a look at four players I'm actively shying away from early in drafts. You might even consider these guys "landmines." Drafting them instead of some other players with more upside could lead to a last-place […]

Top Rebound Candidates for 2024 Fantasy Football

The NFL can be a strange game. Players can perform one year and then fall victim to injury or situation and fall short of expectations the next year. In this article, we’ll take a look at four players who could rebound in 2024. But what exactly constitutes a rebound candidate? This article could focus on […]

One-Man Backfields To Chase In 2024 Fantasy Football

In the year 2024, there aren’t a whole lot of backfields that feature just one guy. That’s just not how most NFL teams decide to handle the position these days. However, there are still a few out there. In this article, I won’t highlight the obvious ones. Christian McCaffrey, Jonathan Taylor, Breece Hall, and Saquon […]

Fantasy Football Undervalued Wide Receiver Sleepers for 2024 - Rashee Rice, Demario Douglas, Josh Downs, more

Every year we go through average draft position (ADP) with a fine-tooth comb to spot the players we believe are undervalued and the players we believe are overvalued. This is usually due to a specific reason, but sometimes, it can simply be recency bias as well. In this article, we'll highlight four undervalued wide receivers […]

Backup Fantasy Football Running Backs To Chase In 2024

In my last article, I highlighted one-man backfields to chase in 2024. In this article, I highlight four of the best backup running backs to chase in 2024. Two of these guys are probably straight “handcuff” type backups that require an injury to the starter. However, two of these guys have a legitimate shot to […]

Must-Have Running Backs For 2024 Fantasy Football

It wouldn’t be fair to highlight Christian McCaffrey, Bijan Robinson, and Breece Hall as “must-have” running backs this season because it’s impossible to get them all on your roster. So instead, this article aims to highlight running backs that have varying average draft positions (ADPs) which makes it attainable to roster them all. You might […]

Must-Have Tight Ends for Fantasy Football Drafts - Trey McBride, Jake Ferguson, more

The tight end position has never been as deep as it is this season. I know we say that every year, but this season just feels different. There are guys up and down the board that could make a significant impact in 2024. It's all about average draft position (ADP). A lot of these guys […]

Fantasy Football Breakout Candidates for 2024

Yes, Drake London will finish better than WR35 this season, but that’s already baked into his price tag. Instead of highlighting the obvious 2024 breakout candidates, my goal for this article is to uncover the ones that are going a bit under the radar. You’ll notice a trend with these four breakout candidates. They’re either […]

Who Should I Draft for Fantasy Football? A.J. Brown vs. DeVonta Smith 2024 Outlooks

A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith have now played together in Philadelphia for two full seasons. The only major difference was at offensive coordinator. In 2022, it was Shane Steichen, while in 2023, it was Brian Johnson. In 2024, it’ll be Kellen Moore.  Brown was a second-round pick back in 2019, while Smith was a first-rounder […]

2024 Fantasy Football Deep Sleepers: Tight End

I know we say it every year, but this year, tight end is deep. I mean, Kyle Pitts is TE6, and George Kittle is TE7. Either one of those guys can finish as the overall TE1 this season. Then you’ve got guys like Evan Engram, Jake Ferguson, and Brock Bowers just behind them. The position […]

Fantasy Football RB Busts and Sleepers - Elusiveness

Back before advanced metrics were a thing, we used to look at yards, touchdowns, and fantasy points to determine a player’s value. It’s much more nuanced today, thanks in part to numerous companies that have given life to advanced data. One of those advanced metrics is PlayerProfilers’ Juke Rate, which is essentially a measure of […]

Fantasy Football Veteran RBs Set to Lose Touches in 2024

Over the last decade or so, we’ve seen a shift in the way running backs are valued in the NFL. Heck, they used to be top-10 draft picks. Now, a third-round pick is considered premium draft capital when talking about running backs. While the phenomenon is relatively new, running backs have always had the youngest […]

2024 Fantasy Football: Positive TD Regression Candidates At Running Back

Touchdowns are the name of the game in fantasy football, especially at running back, wide receiver, and tight end. In most leagues, both rushing and receiving touchdowns count for six points. In a half-PPR league, that's the same thing as 10 carries for 40 yards and two catches for 10 yards. Needless to say, touchdowns […]

Avoid These Tight Ends in 2024: Fantasy Football Outlook

My friend Andrew Cooper (@CoopAFiasco on X) says it all the time. To be a top-producing tight end for fantasy football, you have to be one of two things, an athletic freak or a top-2 target earner on your team. Preferably both, with a lean toward being a top-2 target earner first. But it's an […]

Early Fantasy Football Running Back Sleepers for Best Ball Drafts (2024)

So what's a "sleeper" anyway? In its purest form, it's a player that's being "slept" on. They are players who should be valued more highly by the fantasy football community for one reason or another. No, De'Von Achane is not a sleeper, stop kidding yourself. But maybe Raheem Mostert is? Maybe, maybe not, considering the […]

Players to Avoid in Best Ball Fantasy Football Drafts (2024)

In my first article of the offseason, I highlighted four players to target in 2024 Best Ball leagues. In this article, I'll turn my attention to players you should avoid drafting in Best Ball leagues this season. There are lots of reasons to avoid a player in Best Ball, whether it's a new role, a […]

Players To Target In 2024 Best Ball Fantasy Football Leagues

Best Ball season is back! All you have to do is draft the "best" team. Easy, right? Not so fast. But it's all about having fun, right? I know, I know, you want to win lots of money. But let's be realistic here. It's hard to draft the best team. That's where RotoBaller comes in. […]

Jaylen Warren - Week 17 Fantasy Football Start 'Em, Sit 'Em Picks

BALLER MOVE: Sit In 12-Team Leagues POSITIONAL VALUE: High-end RB3 with low-end RB2 upside ANALYSIS: Jaylen Warren gets a great matchup against the Seattle Seahawks this week. Not only are they allowing the 6th-most fantasy points per game to opposing running backs this season, but LB Jordyn Brooks is out for this game. That should […]

Isaiah Likely - Week 17 Fantasy Football Start 'Em, Sit 'Em Picks

BALLER MOVE: Start in 12-team leagues POSITIONAL VALUE: Top-10 TE with top-5 upside ANALYSIS: The Miami Dolphins have been stingy against opposing tight ends this season, allowing just 5.3 fantasy points per game (6th-fewest in the NFL). However, Isaiah Likely could overcome that due to a combination of talent and opportunity. Since the Ravens' Bye […]

Javonte Williams - Week 17 Fantasy Football Start 'Em, Sit 'Em Picks

BALLER MOVE: Sit in 12-team leagues POSITIONAL VALUE: High-end RB3 ANALYSIS: Javonte Williams has struggled this season. Despite 14 touches each of the past two games, he's averaged just 19.5 total yards per game in those games. He's found the end zone just four times this season on 239 total opportunities. Williams is averaging a […]
