ANALYSIS: It's been two completely different seasons for Carolina Panthers wide receiver Adam Thielen. After a strong start to the year, Thielen has been relatively quiet in recent weeks. He has just nine catches for 101 yards combined over the past three games. Unfortunately, it might not get much better in Week 15 against the Atlanta Falcons.
The Falcons are allowing the fourth-fewest fantasy points per game to wide receivers in 2023. They also rank top-12 in fantasy points allowed to slot receivers this season, where Thielen takes most of his snaps. On top of the matchup, the veteran is also not seeing much volume in the passing game anymore.
The 33-year-old wideout has seen seven targets or less in three straight contests compared to Week 2 to Week 8 where he averaged an absurd 11.3 targets per game. Thielen hasn't produced in recent weeks, but he does have the potential in any given game to go for 15-plus fantasy points. That makes him a fine start in 12-team leagues.
