Nate Roberts the "Clear Leader" at Tight End for Ohio State
Ohio State tight end Nate Roberts caught just four passes for 30 yards in his true freshman season working behind Max Klare and Will Kacmarek, but with both now on NFL rosters, he is "the clear" leader of the tight end room, according to Spencer Holbrook of Lettermen Row. Klare and Kacmarek combined to catch 58 passes for 616 yards and four touchdowns, so there will be opportunities for Roberts to produce, especially with Carnell Tate out of the program, too. Holbrook projects Mason Williams and Max Leblanc to serve as the TE2 and TE3 in his "still-too-early" depth chart projection for the Buckeyes. While Jeremiah Smith will be the clear target hog in the offense, expect the tight end position to be emphasized in Arthur Smith's new offense.
