Three top fantasy baseball prospects - Kade Anderson, Leo De Vries, Jesus Made - that can make big impacts. These MLB prospects are waiver wire pickups or stashes.
Finding high-end prospects who could make an impact in the second half is a major part of winning your fantasy league. Those who stashed Nolan McLean late were rewarded with an ace performance over the final month of the season.
In this piece, we will spotlight three prospects who could be in the mix for a late-season call-up. While their promotions are far from guaranteed, they are worth monitoring in deeper leagues as they could prove an impact during the stretch run.
Should fantasy managers stash these high-end prospects? Let's dive in!

Kade Anderson, SP, Seattle Mariners
Current Level: AA
Availability: 10% rostered
2026 AA Stats: 18 2/3 IP, 0.48 ERA, 0.70 WHIP, 30 SO, 4 BB
Kade Anderson was the third overall pick in last year’s draft after a successful stint at LSU, which included striking out 37.4% of the batters he faced in 2025.
This meant that 2026 was his first experience in professional baseball, and the Mariners decided to go with the aggressive approach to start him in Double-A, skipping High-A entirely. That may not have even been enough, as his immediate dominance at the level could earn him a promotion to Triple-A any day now.
Heading into Friday, he had a minuscule 0.64 ERA and 0.86 WHIP, with a ridiculous 41.5% strikeout rate and 7.5% walk rate through three starts. That includes an 11-strikeout gem over five shutout innings in his second start, and he was on his way to another masterful outing on Friday in his fourth start of the year.
He had allowed only one hit through 4 ⅔ scoreless innings with eight strikeouts against the Corpus Christi Hooks before the game was suspended for the rest of the night due to rain.

Double-A simply looks too easy for the 21-year-old right now, who already has a four-pitch arsenal that looks like it could hold its own at the major league level. While an imminent promotion is not likely, I fully expect Anderson to make his debut at some point this season.
It could just be a cup of coffee at the end of September, but if Seattle’s rotation suffers an injury, the youngster could be its most talented replacement option.
If he didn't have enough upside already, he'll also get the benefit of pitching in one of the most pitcher-friendly ballparks in the league for half of his starts. Like Schultz and Tolle, who came before him, he'd be a must-add in all leagues with ace upside once promoted.

Leo De Vries, SS, Athletics
Current Level: AA
Availability: 5% rostered
2026 AA Stats: 21 G, .296/.389/.444, 3 2B, 3 HR, 7 SB
De Vries was the jewel of the Mason Miller trade. He's a highly regarded prospect who is off to a strong start in the minors, currently slashing .308/.403/.415 with two homers and six steals in 78 plate appearances at Double-A. The plate discipline looks pretty good as well, including an 11.5% walk rate and a 24.4% strikeout rate.
The issue with De Vries as a stash is that, since he's still only 19 years old, it's unlikely that he'll get promoted to the big leagues this season. However, as with Jesus Made, you just never know because teams are more aggressive with their young talent these days.
With that said, I think it's more likely that Made gets the call than De Vries, since the former is showing more power at Double-A than the latter. However, in the unlikely scenario where De Vries does get called up, he'd be in a great ballpark for production, as Sutter Health Park is one of the most hitter-friendly environments in baseball.
We saw De Vries put up a 144 wRC+ in 103 plate appearances as an 18-year-old at Double-A last year, so there's a ton of upside in his profile. Once he's up in the big leagues, he could produce at a 20-20 pace. He is a solid stash option for those in deeper 15-team leagues with multiple NA spots.

Availability: 5% rostered

The Brewers have yet another elite prospect in Made. Made is currently slashing .314/.429/.543 with two home runs and eight stolen bases as an 18-year-old in Double-A. What's most impressive is the elite plate discipline, including a 16.7% walk rate and a 13.1% strikeout rate.
We've seen MLB teams be more aggressive with their prospects lately. Just look at Konnor Griffin up with the Pirates as a 20-year-old. What if Made continues to mash in the minors? Would it be crazy to think that the Brewers would give him a chance for a brief stint in September? I can definitely see that happening, especially to give them an added boost in their playoff run, potentially.
That makes Made worth stashing in deeper leagues, but only if you have an NA spot so that you don't need to have him taking up a roster spot. Once Made is up, there's some huge speed upside here, as he swiped 47 bags in 525 plate appearances in the minors last season.
