Yahoo Leagues: Best/Worst Fantasy Baseball Values and Cheap/Expensive ADPs (2026)

CJ Abrams - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, Draft Sleepers, MLB Injury News

Dan's Yahoo league fantasy baseball sleepers, busts, targets and avoids for 2026 drafts. These Yahoo ADPs are cheaper or more expensive than other platforms.

The start of the 2026 Major League Baseball season is drawing near, making these last weeks of March prime time for fantasy baseball drafts. Consulting the average draft positions (ADP) at your site of choice is an imperative step in preparing for your draft. ADPs will vary from site to site based on what type of fantasy managers they cater to and differences in league settings.

Since ADP information gives you a way to anticipate when players will be drafted, being aware of sites’ differences in ADP can give you an advantage in the draft room. Undervalued players are being selected later and can represent opportunities worth reaching for while other managers are sleeping. Players drafted earlier than they are elsewhere are considered overvalued and may not be worth chasing.

In this article, we will look at some undervalued and overvalued picks from Yahoo drafts to find players to buy low or to avoid relative to their overall ADP. To aid in this hunt, I am using RotoBaller’s Fantasy Baseball ADP table to compare across five different sites, including Yahoo. When you are done reading, visit our fantasy baseball hub to continue preparing for your drafts. Good luck this season, RotoBallers!

Cheap Early Round Fantasy Baseball Picks on Yahoo

James Wood (OF, WAS) | RotoBaller Rank: 37

ADP Comparison
Yahoo CBS FANTRAX RTS NFBC AVG
43 27 26 33 29 31.6

In 2025, James Wood slugged 31 home runs, drove in 94 RBI, scored 87 runs, stole 15 bases, and finished with a .256 batting average. Normally, these are the kinds of numbers that push a ballplayer into the first round. Even though Wood was one of only 11 players in 2025 to rack up 30 homers with 15 steals, not only is he available in the middle of the third round in Yahoo’s 12-team drafts, but he is the thirteenth outfielder off the board!

Part of this is due to the outfield position being front-loaded with proven performers. Wood, on the other hand, has only a season and a half of MLB experience at this point. In the first half of 2025, Wood looked like one of the best hitters in baseball (.915 OPS, 150 wRC+), but his production fell off drastically after the All-Star break (.690 OPS, 93 wRC+).

There will be plenty of managers afraid that MLB’s former top prospect flamed out already, but it is more likely that the 23-year-old’s best is yet to come.

Wyatt Langford (OF, TEX) | RotoBaller Rank: 42

ADP Comparison
Yahoo CBS FANTRAX RTS NFBC AVG
64 40 44 47 42 47.4

Wyatt Langford debuted in 2024 as a 22-year-old rookie and produced a .253 AVG with 16 HRs and 19 SBs in 134 games with the Rangers. The solid start to his career had many thinking the phenom had hit the ground running and would work his way up the outfield ranks in 2025. As it happened, three separate stints on the injured list limited Langford to another 134-game season, and the results were largely the same, finishing with a lower .241 AVG, but with 22 HRs and 22 SBs.

Despite a strikeout rate that jumped to 26.4% in 2025, Langford has demonstrated a good eye for the strike zone, as indicated by his low chase rates in the first two years of his career. A 2023 draftee, Langford only had 44 games in the minors before being brought up to the big leagues in 2024. As a result, he is still getting a handle on MLB pitching, but when he does, he can drive the ball. Last year, Langford had a 14% barrel rate and a hard-hit rate of 48.4%.

Like Wood, Langford’s lack of a proven track record is giving fantasy baseball managers reason for pause. Also like Wood, Langford’s combination of power and speed could make him a top-20 player by season’s end.

CJ Abrams (SS, WAS) | RotoBaller Rank: 71

ADP Comparison
Yahoo CBS FANTRAX RTS NFBC AVG
87 52 67 70 54 66

CJ Abrams’ reputation may have taken a knock at the end of the 2024 season when he was demoted for disciplinary reasons, but his performance in 2025 was consistent with past results. Last year Abrams finished with a .257 batting average (2023: .245; 2024: .246), had 19 home runs (2023: 18; 2024: 20), recorded 60 RBI (2023: 64; 2024: 65), scored 92 runs (2023: 83; 2024: 79), and stole 31 bases (2023: 47; 2024: 31).

Since 2023, Abrams has been one of MLB’s most proficient base stealers, ranking sixth with 109 steals and having been caught just 19 times. There are few players left in the draft as late as Abrams with his stolen base potential, and fewer still with the potential to hit 20 home runs. At his ADP, he is the 13th shortstop off the board in Yahoo drafts, and his resume makes him a solid fallback option despite his underwhelming metrics.

Eury Perez (SP, MIA) | RotoBaller Rank: 72

ADP Comparison
Yahoo CBS FANTRAX RTS NFBC AVG
119 90 93 91 104 99.4

After spending all of 2024 on the shelf recovering from Tommy John surgery, Eury Perez returned to the Marlins in June of 2025. Perez logged 20 starts, finishing the season with a 7-6 record, 105 strikeouts, a 4.25 ERA, and a 1.05 WHIP in 95.1 innings pitched. Despite coming back from one of the sport’s more taxing surgeries, Perez’s fastball was as lively as ever with an average velocity on par with what he showed pre-injury (97.9 to 97.5 in 2023).

The ERA was none too pretty, but was a full run higher than his xERA (3.23), and was perhaps propelled by a subpar left-on-base rate of 65%. Perez’s ability to miss bats ranked among the best in the majors, which kept his WHIP in check. Perez carried a 13.3% swinging-strike rate in 2025, which would have been the eighth-best mark in the majors over a full season.

Entering his age-23 season, Perez is one of the youngest starting pitchers in baseball and has room to grow.

Luis Robert Jr. (OF, NYM) | RotoBaller Rank: 94

ADP Comparison
Yahoo CBS FANTRAX RTS NFBC AVG
147 113 111 132 113 123.2

It has been a tumultuous couple of seasons for Luis Robert Jr. After finishing as the runner-up in 2020’s American League Rookie of the Year race, Robert’s next two seasons were riddled with injuries before putting it all together in 2023 when he launched 38 home runs with 20 SBs, 90 runs, 80 RBI, and a .264 AVG, and earning All-Star and Silver Slugger honors.

Amid more injuries and frustrations with the direction of his team, Robert’s production has been in the tank over the last two years. Since 2024, he has played in 210 games and had 28 total home runs, a 29.6% strikeout rate, and slashed .223/.288/.372.

In January, Robert was traded from the White Sox to the Mets, where he will enjoy the company of Francisco Lindor, Juan Soto, and Bo Bichette. Now part of a drastically improved lineup and on a team playing to win, we should see a more motivated Robert take the field in 2026. Given his health history and recent resume, it is easy to see why fantasy managers are letting Robert slide this season, but at his ADP, he is worth betting on getting things turned around.

Expensive Early Round Fantasy Baseball Picks on Yahoo

Cal Raleigh (C, SEA) | RotoBaller Rank: 24

ADP Comparison
Yahoo CBS FANTRAX RTS NFBC AVG
13 21 12 15 18 15.8

Cal Raleigh has a historic 2025, becoming the seventh player and the first catcher in MLB history to hit 60 home runs in a season. Raleigh also reached career highs in the other main fantasy categories, including a surprising 14 stolen bases, as well as background metrics like barrel rate and walk rate.

Raleigh isn’t going much higher on Yahoo than he is elsewhere, but in the meantime, stars with five-category potential like Corbin CarrollFernando Tatis Jr., and Gunnar Henderson are being passed over. The pool of premium talent at starting pitcher and outfielder dries up quickly this season.

While Raleigh might be in a tier of his own, catcher levels off quickly, and there are surprising values to be found down the board. With such a high opportunity cost, it might be wise to go in a different direction, especially since Yahoo leagues feature just one catcher by default.

Mookie Betts (SS, LAD) | RotoBaller Rank: 51

ADP Comparison
Yahoo CBS FANTRAX RTS NFBC AVG
38 47 48 50 50 46.6

Mookie Betts’ 2025 season started with a battle with a mystery illness that prevented him from keeping food down, during which time he supposedly lost around 20 pounds. Betts managed to put together 663 plate appearances in 150 games, but never looked quite right. He managed to post a robust 82 RBI and 95 runs in the Dodgers’ stacked lineup, but finished with career lows in batting average (.258) and ISO (.148), and disappointed with just eight stolen bases and 20 home runs.

Hitting in the top half of the Dodgers’ batting order, Betts will likely put up impressive marks in runs and RBI. His batting average will likely improve, too, as he maintained his elite plate discipline and contact metrics in 2025. Betts hasn’t been a threat for 20 steals since leaving Boston, and it remains to be seen if he can regain his power and push for 25 to 30 homers again.

Shortstop is a very deep field in 2026. It may not be worth pursuing Betts into the third round of drafts on Yahoo with so many viable options available later.

Jarren Duran (OF, BOS) | RotoBaller Rank: 69

ADP Comparison
Yahoo CBS FANTRAX RTS NFBC AVG
45 69 58 69 71 62.4

Jarren Duran’s 2024 breakout pushed him to an ADP of 22 on Yahoo in 2025. Last year, Duran regressed by 25 to 30 percent in his counting stats from the previous season’s highs, and his batting average fell almost 30 points. His final line of .256-16-84-86-24 was nothing to sneeze at, but it checked the expectations of him evolving into a Julio Rodriguez-like 30/30 threat.

Duran’s 2025 was also marked by inconsistency. After swiping 10 bags in the first month of the season, he averaged only three in each month the rest of the way. Duran’s output was buoyed by a massive July, wherein he mashed for a 1.093 OPS, racked up a quarter of his RBI, and had a 193 wRC+. July excluded, his season-long OPS was .726.

Duran also continued to struggle against lefties, slashing .211/.260/.340 against southpaws versus .277/.363/.488 against righties. Rumors of Duran being platooned in 2026 are likely exaggerated, but it is a known weakness in his game that will hinder his production. At his ADP, Duran may be too volatile to select.
