Quarterback (QB) Fantasy Football Start 'Em, Sit 'Em Picks for Week 11 (2025)

Justin Herbert - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Injury News

Matt's quarterback (QB) fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 11 of 2025. His QB lineups advice for Week 11 fantasy football start/sit decisions.

Let the playoff jostling begin. Right now, your fantasy leagues' playoff picture is becoming clearer. Yet, every week we still see surprising performances. Last week, it was Jacoby Brissett, Davis Mills, Dillon Gabriel, and Mac Jones, who finished as top-10 fantasy quarterbacks, while Bo Nix and Sam Darnold, two top-10 options any given week, failed to produce eight fantasy points in Week 10.

Some decisions are more complex than others; benching name-brand, recognized superstars is never easy. Luckily, we are here to help.

Here are your Week 11 starts and sits for the quarterback position.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

Week 11 - Fantasy Football Booms

Justin Herbert - QB, Los Angeles Chargers at Jacksonville Jaguars

As we enter Week 11 of the NFL season, only Drake Maye, Jalen Hurts, Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, and Patrick Mahomes II sit ahead of Justin Herbert when we are talking about fantasy points at the quarterback position. Herbert heads to Duval County, averaging 21.1 fantasy points per game, and is well-positioned to advance up the quarterback pecking order after this one.

Herbert has been getting it done with both his arm and his legs as the Chargers' signal-caller. His 2,610 passing yards are second only to Daniel Jones (2,659), and his 324 yards rushing rank 34th in the NFL, the most among his quarterback peers.

After posting 18-plus fantasy points in four consecutive contests, Herbert was limited to just 14.7 last week against the Pittsburgh Steelers, who took full advantage of the injuries that have stacked up at left tackle for the Chargers by sacking Herbert on five occasions, pushing their sack total to 32, the second-most. Fortunately, the Jaguars are on the other end of the sack exchange, tied with the 49ers (12) for the fewest in the NFL this season.

Since Week 6, no team has allowed more fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks than the Jaguars, who have allowed 25.8 fantasy points over that period. In four contests, Jacksonville's defense has yielded 1,053 passing yards and 13 passing touchdowns. Only the Commanders, who have played an extra game, have allowed more passing touchdowns than the Jaguars.

Jordan Love - QB, Green Bay Packers at New York Giants

As I write this, the Packers have yet to take the field against the Eagles to conclude Week 10 of the NFL schedule. Still, here at RotoBaller, we are always looking ahead. Where the matchup against the Eagles was considered one of the most challenging matchups that quarterbacks face, next week's date with the Giants is one of fantasy's friendliest on the docket.

Think of last week's Caleb Williams performance as the floor for Jordan Love, as Williams completed 20 of 36 passing for 220 yards and a touchdown. While those numbers aren't exactly eye-popping, Williams also added 63 yards on the ground, pushing his fantasy total to 25.1 on the day. Love may never be mentioned in the same breath as Jackson, Hurts, Allen, or even Williams, but he has 110 rushing yards before his game against the Eagles and a healthy 4.2 yards per carry average.

Over the Giants' previous five contests, this defense has allowed 1,196 passing yards (sixth-most), 10 passing touchdowns (fourth-most), 147 rushing yards to opposing quarterbacks (second-most), four rushing touchdowns (most), and the 25.7 fantasy points per game since Week 6 trails only the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Tua Tagovailoa - QB, Miami Dolphins vs Washington Commanders

Tua Tagovailoa's up-and-down 2025 fantasy campaign starts its next chapter this week as the Miami Dolphins host a Washington Commanders defense that is garnering attention in recent weeks, for all the wrong reasons.

While Tagovailoa have averaged a lowly 13.7 fantasy points per game and coming off a victory against the Bills in which his 173 passing yards, two touchdowns, and a pair of interceptions was modest by fantasy standards, we have seen a few boom week's from the lefty throughout the season as Tagovailoa has three 19-plus fantasy performances this year (Weeks 2, 5, and 8), and with the way the Commanders having been playing as of late a 20-point performance this week is not out of the question.

Last week, Jared Goff casually tossed three touchdown passes while completing 25 of 33 passes for 320 yards, hooking up routinely with Jameson Williams downfield and exploiting poor coverage in the secondary. In fact, since Week 6, no team has allowed more passing yards (1,465) or passing touchdowns than the Commanders have. For fantasy managers, Washington's 24.2 fantasy points per game over their last five games make Tagovailoa an excellent option for managers willing or forced to take a chance on upside this week.

Week 11 - Fantasy Football Busts

Matthew Stafford - QB, Los Angeles Rams vs Seattle Seahawks

It's about risk management, and for most, Matthew Stafford was likely drafted as a QB2 on many fantasy rosters, leaving a door open for another solid option this week. If that's the case, that's the way most fantasy managers should be leaning this week.

Across the board, Stafford's fantasy resurrection has been refreshing. Not only does the veteran signal-caller lead the NFL with 25 passing touchdowns (five more than Goff), but his 269.7 passing yards per game also lead the NFL among quarterbacks who have played in five or more contests. While Stafford's early accolades through the first half of the season and 21.1 fantasy points per game may seem too good to bench, here's why a soft fade of the Rams' start quarterback may be necessary.

Seattle has one of the top fantasy defenses in the NFL, averaging 10.7 fantasy points per game this season. What does that mean?  It means they can get after the quarterback and force turnovers as well as anybody. The 32 sacks this season are tied with the Pittsburgh Steelers for the second-most in the NFL, while their nine interceptions are tied with the Chargers for the fifth-most. Stafford may get his passing yards, but fantasy managers should also expect higher chances of negative plays as well.

Patrick Mahomes - QB, Kansas City Chiefs at Denver Broncos

Another quarterback who is hard to bench this week is Patrick Mahomes. Unlike Stafford, you likely drafted Mahomes to be your starting quarterback, a set-it-and-forget-it option to solidify your fantasy rosters. But, facing the Denver Broncos' defense is a daunting task, even for a first-ballot Hall-of-Fame quarterback.

The last time Mahomes faced the Broncos was around this time last year, when he would go on to complete 28 of 42 passes for 266 yards and a touchdown. With how the Broncos have been playing for much of the year, those numbers are likely the ceiling for Mahomes this week.

Denver's defense ranks third in the NFL in total yards allowed, allowing an average of 270.7 yards per game, with just 179.5 yards per game coming from the passing game, and that's with Patrick Surtain II out the last couple of weeks.

What has made the Broncos special over the last two seasons is their pass rush. Last season, Denver sacked opposing quarterbacks 63 times, which was nine more than the Ravens, the next-closest team. In that previous matchup, the Broncos managed to get to Mahomes four times and pressured him throughout the game. Fast forward to 2025, and nothing has changed. In 10 contests, Denver has registered 46 sacks (4.6 per contest) and has 14 more sacks than the nearest defense.

Baker Mayfield - QB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Buffalo Bills

After an MVP-calibre start to his 2025 campaign, Baker Mayfield cooled down in weeks eight and nine, producing 16.4 total fantasy points over those contests before seemingly getting back on track last week against an excellent Patriots defense, tossing three touchdown passes.

The world is a better place when Mayfield is at the top of his game, but this week, against the Bills, fantasy managers should have some reservations. After all, since Week 6, Buffalo has allowed just 212.0 passing yards per game over those four contests and has allowed just three passing touchdowns, averaging 10.8 fantasy points per game to the quarterback position —the lowest in the league over that period.

For fantasy managers, it's all about managing your risk portfolio, especially when considering benching Stafford, Mahomes, and Mayfield. All three options are as good as it gets, yet all three face challenges this week that could result in disappointment amongst fantasy managers. If you do start any of these three options at quarterback, make sure to add some upside in your lineups to help compensate if things go sideways.
