WR fantasy football injury updates and reports for wide receivers in Week 4 (2025), as of September 26, including CeeDee Lamb, Terry McLaurin, Mike Evans, Jaylen Waddle, Davante Adams, Ricky Pearsall, Xavier Worthy, more.
There was a time not too long ago when it felt like the wide receiver position was notably free of injuries, both serious and minor. Most of the league's receivers were relatively healthy.
That's no longer the case, unfortunately. Plenty of the NFL's wideouts are dealing with a variety of ailments now, and Week 3 was a particularly brutal stretch for the position.
It's not the type of news people want to hear. However, it's still crucial for fantasy managers to stay updated on the statuses of their players -- so let's break down this week's injury news for all of fantasy football's most important wideouts.

CeeDee Lamb Injury Update
Lamb (ankle) unfortunately suffered a high ankle sprain in his team's Week 3 loss to the Chicago Bears. His foot was pinned under a defender and twisted at an awkward angle, leading to his removal from the game and later ruled out.
There were initially talks of him playing in the next game, but subsequently, he was diagnosed with the injury that is set to hold him out of at least a few contests. The latest news is that he'll likely miss at least two weeks. That's a pretty quick timeline for this type of injury.

— RotoBaller NFL (@RotoBallerNFL) September 23, 2025
The play looked quite painful for the Dallas star player. It's unlikely that he'll play next week, and it's probably better for his season if he takes more than two weeks off, but that's not really up to us. We'll have to wait for more updates.
Lamb is one of the shiftiest WRs in the NFL, with elite lateral agility. Playing with a not-yet-fully-healed ankle could significantly negatively impact his fantasy upside when he returns.
Terry McLaurin Injury Update
McLaurin (quad) is dealing with an injury in his quadriceps. He suffered the injury when he was tackled while attempting to reach across the goal line after a long catch for a potential touchdown. The latest news about McLaurin isn't so great, at least not in terms of him playing in Week 4.
From @NFLGameDay Kickoff: #Commanders WR Terry McLaurin’s quad injury will not require surgery after McLaurin sought multiple medical opinions this week. Still not looking good for Sunday vs. the #Falcons but at least no surgery at this point. pic.twitter.com/n7qQYm1sM1

While, as you can see from the video above, he won't need surgery, it doesn't look like he'll take the field in Week 4. It's unclear exactly what his issue is, but perhaps it's a strain or pull of some sort, since he won't need surgery.
Fantasy managers should prepare for him not to play on Sunday.
Mike Evans Injury Update
Evans (hamstring) is now dealing with his second hamstring injury (at least) in the past two seasons. The 32-year-old missed three games last season with a hamstring injury. As of right now, he's not expected to play in Week 4 and should be staring down the barrel of a multi-week absence.
#Bucs WR Mike Evans, who left Sunday’s dramatic win with a hamstring injury, had an MRI that revealed he’s out multiple weeks, per The Insiders. But it’s not as bad as last year when he missed four weeks. Solid news. pic.twitter.com/jtPCXVFoUv

Last year, he had four weeks off due to his hamstring injury, but one of those weeks was conveniently a bye. This year won't be the same, but as you can see from the above post, this year's edition of the failed hammy isn't as serious. Still, you should prepare for him to miss two to three contests.
Jaylen Waddle Injury Update
Waddle (shoulder) won't play until Monday, so Thursday was his first day of practice. He was limited this week due to a shoulder injury, just as he was last week. It appears that his team is limiting his reps during practice to help him manage the injury in the long term. It's not clear how long it will take for him to recover.

Waddle's been dealing with this ailment for some time now, but he played in last week's contest and wasn't restricted in terms of playing time. He logged 87 percent of his team's offensive snaps, the highest he had in any game this season. He should be able to play on Monday without limitations again. This isn't a big concern.
Ricky Pearsall Injury Update
Pearsall (knee) joins a long list of injured San Francisco 49ers. However, despite their lengthy injury report, the 49ers sit with a perfect 3-0 record heading into Week 4.
#49ers injury report lists Brock Purdy as limited for the second straight day, though there’s indications he’s trending toward playing Sunday vs. the #Jaguars. WR Ricky Pearsall limited today after DNP yesterday. pic.twitter.com/iT8dkXsT92

The second-year pro didn't practice on Wednesday, but was able to log capped reps on the field on Thursday, which is a good sign. There haven't been indications that he's set to miss time, though, and we expect him to take the field on Sunday. Still, it's a situation worth keeping an eye on.
Davante Adams Injury Update
Adams (hamstring) unfortunately wasn't able to practice on Wednesday or Thursday. The caveat here is that he's a 32-year-old veteran whose body has likely taken a massive beating in professional football, as all players do. At this stage in players' careers, it's about doing everything possible to prepare their bodies for the next game.
For a second straight day today, Rams WR Davante Adams didn’t practice due to a hamstring injury.

The Los Angeles Rams organization hasn't indicated anything about the seriousness of his injury. Whether he practices on Friday will be pretty important, but he's not expected to miss Week 4.
Xavier Worthy Injury Update
Worthy (shoulder) finally logged two consecutive days of full practices. He's dealing with a torn labrum in his shoulder that he suffered on an accidental collision with his teammate, tight end Travis Kelce. Worthy is now expected to return to play in Week 4 and will presumably play through his shoulder injury all year.

All signs indicate that he will play on Sunday. Keep your eyes open in case he re-aggravates his injury, of course.
Jauan Jennings Injury Update
Jennings (ankle/shoulder) is now dealing with ankle and shoulder injuries that he suffered this season, one while he was playing through the other. And while he was able to play in Week 3, his status for Week 4 doesn't look great. He wasn't able to practice on Wednesday or Thursday in any capacity.

You should stay updated on his status for Friday. It's possible that if he logs a limited practice, he'll eventually be allowed to play in the game. In that case, he'll likely be listed officially as "questionable" for Week 4. If he's unable to join his team on the practice field on Friday, it seems he won't be able to take the field for the game.
Chris Godwin Injury Update
Godwin (ankle) is following a planned regimen of practices that involve him practicing in full one day and missing the next. He had a full practice on Wednesday and was a DNP on Thursday, but that doesn't mean he suffered a setback.
Tristan Wirfs practiced as normal today. Did not see Chris Godwin, but sounds like that's part of a schedule to have him practice twice a week in his return. I wouldn't think of it as a setback toward Sunday.
— Greg Auman (@gregauman) September 25, 2025
It's not clear if he'll play in Week 4. It seems more likely that he'll return in Week 5, as the original indication from the organization was a planned return in Week 5 or Week 6, and he's recovering well. This is another scenario to monitor now.
Cedric Tillman Injury Update
Tillman (hand/hip) is currently dealing with multiple ailments, but fortunately, he was able to practice in a limited fashion on both Wednesday and Thursday. It doesn't seem likely now that he'll miss his team's Week 4 contest. Fantasy managers shouldn't be concerned here.
