Rece Hinds Goes Yard Against the Braves On Thursday
Rece Hinds went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run, a double, and a walk in Thursday's 5-4 loss to the Atlanta Braves. Hinds was recently called up due to the injury to Noelvi Marte (oblique), made his second appearance thus far in 2025, and made the most of it. He doubled off Spencer Schwellenbach and homered off Braves' closer Raisel Iglesias in the ninth inning to give the Reds a 4-2 lead. Hinds splashed onto the scene in 2024, showing fantastic power, hitting five home runs and slugging .717 in 51 plate appearances in 2024; however, he was striking out at a 31.4 percent clip, and started 2025 in Triple-A. Through seven plate appearances in 2025, Hinds is 2-for-6 with three strikeouts. There is no guarantee Hinds will stay up with the big league club once Marte is back, so for now, fantasy managers will want to keep an eye on his production and only pick him up as a short-term bat if needed.
