Dan's top DraftKings and FanDuel MLB DFS picks for today, Friday, 5/02/25. His favorite daily fantasy baseball lineup sleepers and value picks for DFS on DraftKings and FanDuel.
Who doesn't love a good Friday night MLB DFS slate? As usual, we get a big slate of games with 12 games on both FanDuel and DraftKings tonight.
The worst weather is in the 6:00 games, so there's not too much to worry about avoiding on the main slate. We have no Coors Field, no Great American Ball Park, and no minor league stadiums either, with the Athletics and Rays on the road, so park factors may play less of a role in selecting our spots for bats than usual.
This article will provide my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 5/02/2025. The main slate is at 7:05 p.m. EDT. The lineup picks listed below include a variety of elite players, mid-priced options, and value plays. You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for other sports here. Monitoring injury news and today's MLB starting lineups is always essential.

DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks
Tarik Skubal, DET at LAA ($10.5K DK; $10.6K FD)
It's tempting on a big slate to skip using the top-priced pitcher, but I fear that would be a major mistake today. Not only is Skubal, the reigning AL Cy Young winner, rounding into top form and fresh off an 11-strikeout masterpiece, but he also has one of the best matchups on the board against the Angels.
Tarik Skubal strikes out the side and has 5 strikeouts through 2 innings 🔥 pic.twitter.com/R3utpXdKzd
— MLB (@MLB) April 27, 2025
After an intense first few weeks, the Angels' offense has evaporated. Over the last three weeks, they have the fourth-lowest wRC+ against LHP and a 29% strikeout rate. Skubal is firing on all cylinders and could make mincemeat of this Halos lineup if he has the same good stuff and precise location he showed last week.
I would prioritize him in cash games and make sure you find some cheap stacks to pair with him for tournaments, as Skubal could easily lead all pitchers in scoring tonight.
Bryan Woo, SEA at TEX ($8.4K DK; $9.6K FD)
Woo is quietly having a very nice start to his 2025 season. He's not the same caliber of strikeout pitcher as Skubal. Still, Woo continues to show immaculate control and an impressive ability to induce weak contact, resulting in a 0.97 WHIP and an xERA of 2.99, even lower than his current 3.09 ERA.
The Rangers' offense is mediocre. They just sent Jake Burger to the minor leagues and are still without their best hitter, Corey Seager. Texas also doesn't walk much and is striking out around 23% of the time.
Woo saw this team once and fired seven strong innings against them, striking out seven while allowing just one run. I think we see a similar result tonight when Woo comes into this game in solid form after whiffing eight Red Sox in his last start.
Robbie Ray, SFG vs. COL ($8.6K DK; $8.4K FD)
Ray is more expensive than Woo on DK, but either guy makes a very solid SP2 option to pair with Skubal. I love him for tournaments on FanDuel, though, where he's a full $1200 cheaper than Woo.
Ray gets the lowly Rockies at home. As we know, Colorado continues to be a punching bag for pitchers this season, especially lefties, as they lead the majors in K% vs. LHP.
Ray can be a boom/bust pitcher with occasional struggles with walks or home runs, but he has a pitcher-friendly home ballpark and an elite matchup here. It's tough to imagine that he doesn't pile up strikeouts tonight, even if he gives up some runs.
Also consider: Joe Ryan at BOS, Framber Valdez at CWS

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks
The infield offers plenty of pay-up power and some sneaky value tonight.
Vinnie Pasquantino, 1B - KC vs. Dean Kremer ($3.1K DK; $2.8K FD)
Let's start with a value power hitter at a corner infield position. Vinnie P has only four home runs on the season and is hitting below the Mendoza line, but he's starting to show some signs of life lately. He homered in Wednesday's game and went 2-6 with a double and two RBI yesterday.
People keep asking me if they should drop Vinnie Pasquantino, the answer is nopic.twitter.com/4uMXDMuICA
— Kirk Snyder (@dynastyinfo411) April 30, 2025
I love rostering lefties with power at Camden Yards, and the matchup is great here as Dean Kremer has been objectively bad so far this season with a 5.70 ERA and 12.6% barrel rate. He's also allowed five home runs to lefties already.
Jorge Polanco, 2B/3B/SS - SEA vs. Jack Leiter ($4.7K DK; $3.3K FD)
There's hot and then there's so hot that you are scorching like the sun. Polanco is the latter as he's up to a .382 average and nine home runs on the season, with six of those home runs coming in his last seven games.
Jorge Polanco's hot stretch has been nothing short of incredible. His 253 wRC+ is 2nd in MLB (min. 80 PA), only Aaron Judge is close.
Polanco is being uber-aggressive compared to last year. Z-swing is up 9% while o-swing is only up 3% and he's just punishing pitches in the zone. pic.twitter.com/Douy17aM0H
— Nate Schwartz (@_nateschwartz) May 2, 2025
I like Jack Leiter as a young pitcher with upside, but he's had his struggles with keeping the ball in the yard, and Polanco feels too cheap for this crazy run that he is on. He's eligible at 2B and 3B on FanDuel, and they refuse to price him up.
Jeremy Pena, SS - HOU vs. Jonathan Cannon ($3.9K DK; $3K FD)
Looking for a cheap leadoff hitter for a team implied for 4.7 runs tonight? Look no further! Pena has flourished since moving into the leadoff spot and is fresh off a three-hit game against Detroit on Wednesday, which included a home run.
Cannon's stats are middling across the board. While I probably won't stack the Astros tonight, I'll happily take some one-off shots against Cannon, who had just an 8% SwStr% this season and a troubling 12% BB%. There's a good chance Pena will get on base and score some runs tonight, and he also has solid power for this price.
Also Consider: Edgar Quero - CWS, Tommy Edman - LAD, Maikel Garcia - KCR
DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks
The outfield has elite studs and extreme value plays to round out your lineups.
Aaron Judge, OF - NYY vs. Ryan Pepiot ($6.5K DK; $4.8K FD)
You should play Aaron Judge tonight! Can I copy and paste that in every article for the rest of the season? Honestly, with how he is hitting, asking the question, "To Judge or not to Judge?" may be the first thing we do on every slate for some time.
Aaron Judge leads MLB with a .427 batting average this season, 71 points higher than the next qualified player.
In 15 of his 31 games, he’s recorded 2 or more hits. pic.twitter.com/l0GnfLIZEJ
— MLB (@MLB) May 2, 2025
The answer tonight feels like a yes, as Judge is red-hot and facing a RHP who has struggled with power to righties in Pepiot. Even at this price, Judge can make value with one swing of the bat, and lately he's been drawing walks and driving in runs in addition to hitting bombs. He's worth investing in tonight if you pay up for even one bat.
Trevor Larnach, OF - MIN vs. Brayan Bello ($3.9K DK; $2.9K FD)
Bello is a guy we can target with some Twins' lefties tonight. While his surface numbers are okay, Bello has some concerning batted ball metrics with a 7.55 ERA and 90.6% Z-Contact%. He's walking nearly as many hitters (12.5%) as he's whiffing (14.6%) and continues having drastic splits against LHH.
It's been only two starts this season, but lefties are slashing .276/.417/.586 against Bello, and he's allowed two home runs. Larnach is a cheap cleanup hitter with some pop in his bat who could pay big dividends.
Jung Hoo Lee, OF - SFG vs. Antonio Senzatela ($4.9K DK; $3.2K FD)
Lee has cooled off a bit since the first few weeks of the season when he was arguably the hottest hitter in the league, yet he's still hitting a tidy .316 with 18 RBI and 23 runs scored.
He's a high-contact hitter who strikes out only 13% of the time and is facing one of the worst strikeout pitchers on the slate in Senzatela, who has only a 7.4% SwStr% and 91.1% Z-Contact%.
The wind is blowing out tonight in San Francisco, so perhaps Lee can elevate one of Senzatela's sinkers and put it into the bay. If not, then I would still have him rack up some hits and have an overall productive night. He's a great low-risk cash game option.
Also Consider: Riley Greene - DET, Andy Pages - LAD, Heliot Ramos - SFG
DraftKings, FanDuel MLB DFS Stacks
