Top 300 Fantasy Baseball Rankings - Nick Mariano's Rest-of-Season Outlooks for Tarik Skubal, Garrett Crochet, Jo Adell, Bo Bichette, Austin Riley, more

Garrett Crochet - Fantasy Baseball Waiver Wire Pickups, Closers and Saves

Nick's updated top 300 fantasy baseball rankings for roto as of Week 11 (June 1, 2024). His rest-of-season rankings and projections for hitters and pitchers.

Howdy RotoBallers! The calendar has flipped to June, and incredibly, we are two months into the 2024 baseball season. It's for another rankings check-in. Below is another edition of Nick Mariano's updated 2024 fantasy baseball rankings and tiers for roto leagues (5x5 mixed leagues) as of June 1, 2024.

These rankings are released in June, as Nick provides his rest-of-season fantasy baseball rankings and player values for the rest of this MLB season from this point forward. We are following many interesting storylines closely, all baked into these updated rankings, and you can see them below. Let's see where players such as Tarik Skubal, Garrett Crochet, Jo Adell, Masyn Winn, Gerrit Cole, Luis Matos, Bo Bichette, Mason Miller, Paul Skenes, Luis Arraez, Mike Trout, and Davis Schneider rank. All of them are off to interesting starts or returning from injury soon in 2024.

Some players are off to a terrific start in the first half so far, while some have struggled mightily to start the season. Which of these starts do we take seriously, and which do we put less stock into? Is it time to elevate our expectations on certain players and elevate touted prospects into a higher tier for fantasy baseball leagues? How much patience must we show for highly touted players who have struggled out of the gate, especially veterans with proven track records? Hopefully, the rankings below will give you some perspective on our thoughts on these topics and help you assess the strength of your rosters going forward.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy baseball lineup tools and resources:

Rest-Of-Season Fantasy Baseball Rankings - Week 11 Notes

We have recently seen top prospects such as Atlanta Braves right-hander Spencer Schwellenbach, Chicago Cubs outfielder Pete Crow-Armstrong,  and Seattle Mariners infielder Ryan Bliss get the call to the big leagues. Schwellenbach was solid in his MLB debut, allowing three runs on five hits and one walk while striking out five batters over five innings in Wednesday's loss against the Washington Nationals. At the same time, fantasy managers patiently wait for the call-up of Cincinnati Reds infielder Noelvi Marte, whose 80-game suspension is coming to an end soon.

Detroit Tigers southpaw Tarik Skubal has been terrific this season and arguably fantasy baseball's best pitcher this season. Skubal owns a (7-1) record with a 2.01 ERA, 0.82 WHIP, and an 80:11 K: BB across 67 innings in 2024. Chicago White Sox left-hander Garrett Crochet has been lights out in May, posting a 0.93 ERA, 0.72 WHIP, and a 38:5 K: BB over 29 frames. After years of being heralded as the next big thing, Los Angeles Angels outfielder Jo Adell is finally contributing for fantasy managers by smashing 11 home runs and swiping eight bags through 49 games.

Injuries continue to pile up as Atlanta Braves superstar outfielder Ronald Acuna Jr. is out for the season after suffering a torn ACL in his left knee during Sunday's win over the Pittsburgh Pirates. At the same time, San Francisco Giants outfielder Jung Hoo Lee will undergo shoulder surgery and not return in 2024. Detroit Tigers outfielder Kerry Carpenter will be out for an extended period after being diagnosed with a lumbar spine stress fracture. New York Mets right-hander Edwin Diaz was placed on the injured list with a right shoulder impingement.

Reinforcements are coming, as Chicago White Sox outfielder Luis Robert Jr. is nearing a return from the injured list after missing several weeks due to a Grade 2 right hip flexor strain. San Francisco Giants outfielder Michael Conforto is progressing well from his hamstring strain and began a rehab assignment on Friday. Conforto could return from the injured list as soon as next week. New York Yankees ace Gerrit Cole is nearing a rehab assignment and could make his season debut soon.

Some notable performances include St. Louis Cardinals infielder Masyn Winn, who is currently riding an 18-game hitting streak and is slashing .306/.356/.438 with seven stolen bases through 50 games. San Francisco Giants outfielder Luis Matos has cooled off recently but racked up 19 RBI through 74 plate appearances since being called up on May 12.  Baltimore Orioles southpaw Cole Irvin has allowed three runs or less in his previous eight starts. Irvin owns a 2.84 ERA, 1.13 WHIP, and a 36:11 K: BB over 50 2/3 innings.

Top 300 Fantasy Baseball Rankings - Week 11 Updates

These rankings will be updated every week throughout the season, so some of these situations are very fluid. It's not panic time yet, and we may not be ready to elevate hot-starting players into the elite yet, either, but it's certainly a good checkpoint for the long fantasy season.

As always, be sure to stay on top of all the MLB news with our running list of 24x7 fantasy baseball news and injuries. And if you don't yet have our free mobile app, be sure to download it and stay on top of all the MLB news and analysis with our free push notification alerts.

Nick Mariano's ranks are as of June 1, 2024. They are for 5x5 category mixed roto leagues and will be updated regularly on our main fantasy baseball rankings dashboard all season long. Be sure to read our daily fantasy baseball analysis articles as well.
