Recent Update

4/25:Nothing lasts forever, right? Toronto Blue Jays outfielder Kevin Pillar has been on fire as of late, and while that may very well continue, his hit streak unfortunately will not. Pillar finished 0-for-3 with a walk in the Jays’ 2-1 loss in Anaheim on Monday night, putting an end to his 11-game hit streak. He did manage a walk, though, keeping his on-base streak at 12 games. Over the course of his hit streak, Pillar slashed .362/.388/.660 (1.047 OPS) with three home runs, five runs scored, five RBI, and two stolen bases. It was a great showing from a guy who needed a hot start after disappointing fantasy owners last year following a solid 2015. Still, he remains a nice sell-high candidate at the moment given what we know from his track record.--Andrew Bua - RotoBaller

  • @Wilnerness590: Huge top8 for #Bluejays starts with a Martin walk. Coghlan tries to bunt him over and can't, so Travis and Pillar go deep. 4-1 #Jays bot8.
  • @Wilnerness590: Pillar gets picked off first before the next pitch. 0-0 #Bluejays and #LAAngels to bot3. #Jays

  • @Wilnerness590: Pillar rips his 3rd double of the night - all right down the 3B line, past a diving Sandoval. #Bluejays #Jays
  • @Wilnerness590: Another double down the LF line for Pillar. Farrell's not sure but sure looked like it went over a piece of the 3B bag. #Bluejays #Jays

  • @Wilnerness590: Wouldn't surprise if it were Lawrence on Friday night. Also, Pillar leads off bot1 with a 2B past a diving Panda.…
  • @gregorMLB: #BlueJays lineup: Pillar CF, Bautista RF, Morales DH, Tulowitzki SS, Smoak 1B, Martin C, Pearce LF, Barney 3B, Travis 2B.
  • @Wilnerness590: Those who stuck it out get something to cheer about as Pillar goes deep. Two-run shot is his 1st HR. #Bluejays down 11-4 bot9. #Jays
  • @Wilnerness590: Loup strands a Hardy single in top9 and it's almost over! Coghlan, Goins, Pillar due in bot9 with #Bluejays down 11-2. Nuno in for #Orioles
  • @Wilnerness590: Pillar gets rung up by HP ump Brian Knight with no appeal to strand a pair of #Bluejays in bot7. #Jays trail #Orioles 6-1 top8. Dermody in.
