NHL DFS Analysis and Picks for 4/17/23

It's crucial to stay up-to-date with the latest team news and updates in preparation for the upcoming games.

Vegas Odds for the Day

NHL DFS Goalies

Linus Ullmark- DK $8.3K | FD $8.5K

Opponent - Florida Panthers

Linus Ullmark is projected to start Monday against Florida at home in Boston. He was phenomenal for the Bruins in the regular season posting a 40-6-1 record, a 1.89 goals-against-average, and a .938 save percentage. Ulmark has won his last seven of eight starts, and he was perfect against the Panthers during the year, beating them twice. He allowed six goals on 40 shots in the two contests.

Others To Consider: Jake Oettinger (DK $7.9K | FD $7.9K), Stuart Skinner (DK $8.1K | FD $8.1K)

NHL DFS Centers

Connor McDavid- DK $10.0K | FD $9.8K

Opponent - Los Angeles Kings

Expensive, but plenty of return in picking the high-flying Oilers centerman Connor McDavid. It doesn't really matter who Edmonton matches up against in the playoffs, as McDavid will find a way to produce offensively. He closed the regular season with four goals and 11 assists in ten games.

Others To Consider: Leon Draisaitl (DK $8.6K | FD $9.8K), Roope Hintz (DK $6.5K| FD $6.9K)

NHL DFS Wings

David Pastrnak- DK $8.3K | FD $10.1K

Opponent - Florida Panthers

Despite his pricey salary, it's difficult to ignore David Pastrnak as a top pick. The winger faces a favorable matchup against the Florida Panthers, having already recorded four goals in four regular-season games against them. Pastrnak's impressive stats continued, with ten goals and six assists in the regular season's final stretch. Among the 16 playoff teams, the Panthers permit the most Shots Against Per 60, averaging 31.74. Additionally, they rank 15th out of the 16 teams for allowing an average of 2.49 Goals Against Per 60, which could benefit Pastrnak and the Bruins in the series.

Zach Hyman-DK $7.1K| FD 7.3K

Opponent - Los Angeles Kings

Zach Hyman is an excellent choice if you're looking for an effective winger option. Compared to top wingers such as Matthew Tkachuk and Jason Robertson, he offers a more affordable alternative for players on FanDuel and DraftKings. Furthermore, Hyman has proved his worth with 36 goals and 47 assists in 79 regular season games. In addition, Hyman plays right wing on the Oiler's first line with the great Connor McDavid at center.

Brad Marchand- DK $5.9K | FD $6.6K

Opponent - Florida Panthers

As Boston prepares to play against Florida, pesky winger Brad Marchand is an outstanding choice. The veteran winger steps up his game in the playoffs as he has logged 49 goals and 69 assists in 139 career playoff games.

Others To Consider: Jason Robertson (DK $8.1K | FD $8.7K), Kirill Kaprizov (DK $7.7K| FD $8.4K)

NHL DFS Defensemen

Miro Heiskanen- DK $5.8 | FD $6.1K

Opponent - Minnesota Wild

Miro Heiskanen was an assist machine closing out the regular season with 11 helpers to end the campaign. Against Minnesota, the defenseman only logged one assist in four games, but he did fire 13 shots goal versus the Wild. Minnesota had fantastic goaltending throughout, but they did give up a lot of shots in the regular season, averaging 31.12 Shots Against Per 60.

Brandon Montour- DK 6.4K | FD $6.6K

Opponent - Boston Bruins

Brandon Montour from Florida cruises into the playoffs after a solid regular season recording three goals and nine assists in the last ten games. Florida has a tough task going up against the Bruins, but Montour did log one goal and two assists in three contests against the Bruins. Despite just slipping into the playoffs, the Panthers are offensively gifted as they ranked first in the NHL in Shots For Per 60, at 36.82.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP): Brent Burns (DK $6.0K | FD $6.0K), Noah Dobson (DK $5.3K | FD $6.4K)

Stacks of the Day

  • BOS Stack: Marchand-Krejci-Pastrnak
  • EDM Stack: Draisaitl-McDavid-Hyman
  • BOS Stack: Robertson-Hintz-Pavelski

That's all for today. Good luck with your lineups, and thank you for choosing RotoBaller for your NHL DFS needs!
