Who Should I Draft for Fantasy Football? Keenan Allen, Chris Godwin, Jayden Higgins Outlooks (2025)

Chris Godwin - Fantasy Football Rankings, NFL Injuries, DFS

Who should I draft for fantasy football in 2025? Fantasy football outlooks for Keenan Allen, Chris Godwin, Jayden Higgins, and our expert draft advice.

Nailing your late-round picks is a surefire way to compete for a fantasy football championship. Snagging overperformers at the running back and receiver positions late in the draft can be the difference between winning a league and not even making the playoffs.

Three of these late-round options at the receiver position this year are Keenan Allen, Chris Godwin, and Jayden Higgins. Each of these players carries a certain concern, or the reason they are not being drafted earlier.

For Allen, it's his age. For Godwin, it's his health. And for Higgins, it's his lack of experience. So, which of them should you draft in fantasy football this year?

Keenan Allen Fantasy Football Outlook

  • Underdog ADP: 124.9 (WR59)

Allen returns to the Chargers following an underwhelming season in Chicago. Despite having a solid statistical season -- Allen caught 70 passes for 744 yards and seven touchdowns for the Bears -- he appeared to have lost a step physically.

And while he was the Chargers' best receiver two years ago, much has changed in Los Angeles. Ladd McConkey has proved himself more than capable of being a No. 1 receiver following an excellent rookie year. He racked up over 1,100 yards in his first season with the Bolts.

Second-round rookie Tre' Harris could also push Allen for snaps. A declining player in a declining role is not someone to target in fantasy football. You should stay away from Allen, even at his Round 11 ADP.

Chris Godwin Fantasy Football Outlook

  • Underdog ADP: 94.8 (WR50)

Godwin had a hot start to the season in 2024 before suffering a season-ending fractured ankle in Week 7. That injury has persisted, and Godwin is not expected to see the field for at least the first month of the 2025 season.

Godwin's spot as the team's No. 2 receiver is now in jeopardy -- not just because of his health, but also first-round rookie Emeka Egbuka. The former Ohio State wideout has been receiving rave reviews this offseason and has a similar skill set to Godwin.

Fantasy managers are aware of this, and Godwin's draft value has dropped precipitously. His ADP might be listed as Round 9, but he's going as late as Round 12 in drafts, making him less of a risk. He's a fine receiver to stash on your bench at that price.

Jayden Higgins Fantasy Football Outlook

  • Underdog ADP: 90.6 (WR47)

Higgins is a big-bodied receiver with surprisingly smooth movement and excellent speed for his size. At 6-foot-4, 214 pounds, Higgins ran a 4.47 40-yard dash and has also looked good on the field in the preseason.

Higgins was a player the Texans needed -- a solid No. 2 receiver who can take some attention away from Nico Collins. With Tank Dell out indefinitely and Stefon Diggs off to New England, Higgins replaces them and brings an infusion of youth to the Texans receiver room.

However, there are two big questions: How quickly can Higgins get up to speed? And even if he adjusts quickly, will he get the ball enough to be a significant fantasy contributor in his first NFL season?

The fantasy community is starting to lean toward yes as the answer to both of those questions, and his ADP is rising as a result. However, as a high-upside rookie in a young and exciting passing attack, taking Higgins in Round 8 might just be worth the price.
