Top 150 Dynasty Prospect Rankings for Fantasy Baseball (October Updates)

Michael Busch - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, MLB Injury News, Betting Picks

Benjamin's updated top 250 fantasy baseball prospects rankings (dynasty) as of October 1, 2023. MLB prospect rankings for fantasy baseball dynasty leagues.

Welcome back RotoBallers to the October update of our MLB team's dynasty fantasy baseball prospects rankings for the 2023 season.

The 2023 regular season is done in the majors and minors, but there is still baseball of interest, with MLB playoff action and Arizona Fall League action to pique dynasty owners' interest.

We will revisit this list monthly through the offseason with any updates due to offseason trades or player information gathered from fall and winter leagues!

Be sure to check all of our fantasy baseball lineup tools and resources:

MLB Prospect Rankings for Dynasty Leagues

These fantasy baseball prospect rankings are geared towards dynasty leagues, which are looking at longer-term impacts for fantasy baseball. Proximity is weighed into the rankings, so a player who has reached the major leagues already or should figure prominently into his team's 2024 plans will get a nod above a similarly-valued player who is multiple years away from the majors.

Make sure to check out all of RotoBaller's dynasty baseball coverage!

Who's Hot, Who's Not

There are plenty of players who had excellent 2023 seasons, but it's hard to imagine a player with a better pro debut than Wyatt Langford of the Texas Rangers. The outfielder finished his college career at the University of Florida playing for a national championship and he did the same thing to end his first exposure to minor league baseball. What's incredible is that he played for that minor league title at Triple-A in the same season he was drafted!

Langford had absurd numbers in his final year with the Gators, hitting .373/.498/.784 with 21 home runs and nine steals in 64 games. He nearly produced that same slash line against professional players, climbing up four levels and slashing .360/.480/.677. Langford powered out 10 home runs among 29 extra-base hits and stole 12 bases with more walks than strikeouts over his 44-game pro debut. He then was on base four times in the two-game Triple-A playoff series.

One of the toughest guys to place on this expanded list was Cubs outfielder Brennen Davis. Once one of the elite prospects in the entire game, Davis has ranked among Baseball America's top 100 prospects each of the last four seasons; however, injuries have tremendously sapped his impressive ability. Davis was only able to get on the field for 71 games this year. His slash line was an unimpressive .201/.297/.307, but he still flashes the power/speed combination that makes you dream of what he could do if he could just stay healthy.
