Sleeper.com NBA DFS Prop Picks - Over/Under Props for Friday, May 10

Anthony Edwards - NBA DFS Picks, Daily Fantasy Basketball Rankings, Injury News - rotoballer icon

Welcome to our Sleeper NBA DFS prop picks for Friday, May 10. Friday’s slate of games doesn’t look great on paper, but it’s sure to be entertaining regardless.

With both games sitting at 2-0, the uphill battle for both the Pacers and Nuggets is underway. Indiana has kept games close while players slowly find their footing in the second round, but the Nuggets seem to be hanging on the brink of collapse after Jamal Murray’s outburst in Game 2. Denver hasn’t played well yet this series and facing the Minnesota defense doesn’t make things any easier.

Backs-against-the-wall basketball tends to bring out the best in some teams and players. With Tyrese Haliburton playing well, the Pacers are more than capable of stealing a win. As for the Nuggets, everything is going to rely on the compiled shooting average between Michael Porter Jr., Aaron Gordon, and Murray.

Sleeper offers some of the best and easiest-to-win NBA DFS games in the industry. Sleeper DFS works just like regular player prop betting -- there are no large-field tournaments in which to get lost. You're not playing against other people; you're just playing against the projections. Here are some of our favorite NBA prop picks for Friday's two-game slate.

Announcement: We have two awesome new Props Optimizers for the NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, and NCAA! The PrizePicks Optimizer and Prop Bets Optimizer are both available in our new Props Premium Package, which includes exclusive access to RotoBaller's VIP Discord chat rooms for props and betting.

NBA DFS Props - Over/Under Picks for Friday, May 10

Isaiah Jackson OVER 4.5  Points

If you aren’t familiar with Isaiah Jackson, you aren’t alone. Throughout the regular season, Jackson was utilized as Indiana’s primary backup power forward. He hunts rebounds, firmly plants himself in the paint, and wreaks havoc around the rim. That’s his role, he plays it well, and he adds defense to go along with it. He’s not exactly a rim protector, but he is more than capable of blocking shots using only his athleticism, and that usually propels his overall production, as we saw in Games 1 and 2.

His production hasn’t been over the top, but in playoff basketball, you have to make the most of what you get. Players aren’t afforded the luxury of going 3-7 from the field and still seeing over 20 minutes. Even though Jackson has already seen a significant increase in minutes and usage this series, expect that trend to keep growing with Indiana desperately needing to win at home.

Nickeil Alexander-Walker OVER 6.5 Points

The Timberwolves are taking the NBA fandom by storm, and rightfully so. They are playing the right way, excelling on defense, and letting team basketball shoulder the offensive workload. This article includes two Timberwolves for a multitude of reasons. The first is that both Nickeil Alexander-Walker and Anthony Edwards are hard to replace in their own right. Bad games from both these players aren’t the same as bad games from other players. For example, a bad shooting night is supplemented by good defense, and vice versa.

Alexander-Walker is an excellent wing-shooter, and his defense as a reserve player is incredibly versatile. Not many guards can come off the bench and guard your opposing team’s best player, regardless of who it is. With how poorly the Nuggets are playing and the fact that Alexander-Walker has increased his impact each game, the only concern would be that the rest of the Timberwolves players follow suit, and Alexander-Walker’s production isn’t needed.

Anthony Edwards OVER 27.5 Points

The second reason there are two Timberwolves in this article is because I needed a superstar for the cover photo. Of course, Murray is likely to bounce back and hit the over, same with Porter Jr. and Nikola Jokic. There’s just one problem. None of those players are showing any signs of consistency. Truth be told, their team isn’t doing them any favors, either. Watching this series, there has been one constant. Anthony Edwards. No matter where he is on the floor or what side of the ball he is on, Edwards is the focal point of this game.

Karl-Anthony Towns will score, and Rudy Gobert’s return will change things, but if you were to bet on one thing that will happen tonight, it’s that Edwards's offense will remain uncontested. The Nuggets have no choice but to alter their strategy in defending Edwards, but it’s just as likely they have to come to terms with the fact that they cannot guard him. If he starts hitting mid-range turnarounds like he has every game thus far, the Nuggets might have to accept letting him run free and hope the rest of the Timberwolves are easier to shut down.
