X-Rays Negative On Jeremy Hellickson
6 years agoX-rays came back negative on Washington Nationals starting pitcher Jeremy Hellickson (wrist) after he was injured during his start on Wednesday against the Cardinals. However, manager Dave Martinez said Hellickson is stiff, and they will determine if a disabled list stint is necessary depending on how he feels Thursday. The veteran allowed three hits and two earned runs on Wednesday in his 4 1/3 innings before exiting. He's actually been the most consistent starter behind Max Scherzer and has deep mixed relevance in the right matchups. Be prepared for him to miss at least a start or two, though. The Nats can't get Stephen Strasburg back soon enough.
