Minnesota Wild defenseman Jonas Brodin (upper body) practiced fully on Sunday, Dylan Loucks of The Hockey News reports. According to Wild head coach John Hynes, the team plans to announce later this week how much longer Brodin will be out for. After he had offseason upper-body surgery, there were fears that Brodin might not be available for the start of the 2025-26 campaign. However, considering he is no longer limited in practice, there's a chance the Swedish veteran will be ready to go in a week's time. The Wild kick off their 2025-26 schedule on Oct. 9 against the St. Louis Blues. Brodin finished last season with 20 points (four goals, 16 assists), 71 shots, and 104 blocks across 50 games.--Taavi Pailk
