Chicago Cubs right-handed pitcher Tyler Chatwood has had a seesaw weekend. After having been scratched from his start Friday, Chatwood appeared on the right track Saturday. But things took a downturn Sunday, leading to his placement on the 10-day injured list due to a mid-back strain, opening a spot in the team’s rotation ahead of a stretch of five games in three days against the Cardinals. Chatwood was masterful in his first two starts before a forgettable outing his last time out against the Royals. He had been in line for two starts next week, but now falls out of consideration with his return at least a week away. Check back for an update on how the Cubs’ rotation will shake out.--Jesse Borek
