Thairo Estrada Hits First Homer Of The Season
9 months agoSan Francisco Giants second baseman Thairo Estrada went 1-for-4 with his first home run of the season, two RBI, a run scored and two strikeouts in Sunday's 13-4 loss to the San Diego Padres to wrap up the team's first series of the year. In the four-game series in San Diego, which ended in a split, Estrada went 4-for-15 (.267) with the home run, four RBI, two runs scored and four strikeouts. The 28-year-old has hit safely in each of the first four games of the year. He's off to a solid start in 2024 after slashing .271/.315/.416 with a career-high-tying 14 home runs, 49 RBI, a career-high 23 stolen bases and 63 runs scored in 120 games in 2023. Estrada doesn't do anything overly impressive, but his role as San Fran's everyday second baseman gives him fantasy value as a middle-infield option in deep-mixed leagues.
