Houston Astros right-hander Spencer Arrighetti (thumb) threw a bullpen session on Tuesday, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports. It's an important step for Arrighetti, who has been working back from a broken right thumb since early April. The 25-year-old made two starts before the injury and combined for 9 2/3 innings of six-run ball with eight strikeouts and five walks. He should factor back into Houston's rotation when he returns, but that's unlikely to happen before the All-Star break. Arrighetti will likely require a minor league rehab assignment before he rejoins the Astros.--Connor Byrne
