The Houston Chronicle's Matt Kawahara reports that the Houston Astros have placed reliever Shawn Dubin (forearm) on the 15-day injured list with a forearm strain. The team called up Triple-A reliever Jordan Weems in a corresponding move, and shifted Pedro Leon (knee) to the 60-day IL to make room on the 40-man roster. Dubin last pitched a third of an inning five days ago, so it's possible the injury occurred then, though it wasn't a retroactive designation. As of now, he'll first be eligible to return on Jul. 6. However, it wouldn't be surprising to see him miss more than the minimum stay. Weems has a combined 4.66 ERA and 1.66 WHIP through 29 innings pitched in the minors thus far in 2025.--Alex Ciulla
