Richie James In The Concussion Protocol
2 years agoNew York Giants head coach Brian Daboll said that wide receiver Richie James (head) is in the league's concussion protocol. James was unable to practice on Wednesday after injuring his head in the Week 14 blowout loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. He'll still have a chance to play on Sunday night against the Washington Commanders if he's able to progress through the protocol, but he's looking iffy for that game. James has been a popular waiver-wire pickup in recent weeks while scoring three times in the last four games. He had a season-high seven catches on nine targets for 61 yards and his third touchdown of the year last week. If James is unable to play Sunday, Kenny Golladay could see more snaps behind Darius Slayton and Isaiah Hodgins.
