Michael McGreevy to Stick in Rotation, Will Start Sunday Versus Padres
Michael McGreevy will assume a regular rotation spot on the major league roster, with his next start scheduled to come Sunday at home against the Padres. The 25-year-old has been called up from Triple-A on multiple occasions this year, and has pitched well, logging a 3.49 ERA, 1.02 WHIP, and a 17:3 K:BB in 28 1/3 innings pitched (five appearances, four starts). The low strikeout rate of 15.2 percent doesn't move the needle for fantasy, but displaying near-elite control during his minor league career and even in the majors should help keep his WHIP low, and the right-hander should offer a decent ERA based on this year's and last year's MLB results. He's rostered in just nine percent of Yahoo! leagues for managers looking for pitching help.
