Mac Jones Faring Better In Bill O'Brien's Offense
2 years agoThe early impact that New England Patriots offensive coordinator Bill O'Brien has had on the offense and quarterback Mac Jones in offseason workouts has been noticeable. According to several people close to the situation, O'Brien has been implementing pieces of his system from Alabama more than recycling Patriots playbooks of years past. Jones thrived in Alabama's offense and he worked briefly with O'Brien before he left for the NFL. The two have hit it off this offseason, and Jones has looked much more comfortable running a familiar system. One early improvement has been the tempo, which was a point of contention in 2022. Jones will be even more interesting as a QB2 in fantasy this year if the Patriots bring free-agent receiver DeAndre Hopkins on board as their No. 1 receiver.
