Luis Robert Jr. Says He'll Play Thursday
2 years agoChicago White Sox outfielder Luis Robert Jr. (hip) said he will play on Thursday against the Detroit Tigers. Robert was pulled from Tuesday's game against the Cleveland Guardians with tightness in his right hip and also didn't play on Wednesday, but he appears to be just fine and isn't expecting to land on the injured list. The 25-year-old oft-injured outfielder described the injury as more of a cramp, so he should be available this weekend. If he does indeed return on Thursday, fantasy managers will want him back in their starting lineups. Robert has been feasting at the plate in May, hitting .360 (27-for-75) with seven doubles, eight home runs and 16 RBI in 21 games to raise his season slash line to .273/.328/.557 in 201 plate appearances.
