Buffalo Sabres right wing Kyle Okposo will sit out Saturday's clash with the Bruins. He's dealing with what the team is calling "general soreness" and will miss his first game of the season. Okposo has quietly enjoyed a fine start to the season with nine points in 14 games. His absence is giving Jack Quinn a chance to rejoin the lineup after he sat out one match as a healthy scratch. Despite being forced to sit in the press box on Thursday versus Vegas, the 21-year-old has been pretty productive lately, collecting four points in five games. Quinn boasts one goal and four assists overall for the season with 11 games played.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

Florida Panthers right wing Kyle Okposo is expected to rejoin the lineup in Game 4 against the Rangers on Tuesday. He skated on the fourth line Tuesday morning. Steven Lorentz appears to be set for a new look as well in the lineup. Ryan Lomberg and Nick Cousins will be making way for the two. Okposo hasn't played since Game 5 against Boston in the previous round. The veteran has yet to score in the 2024 playoffs, registering two assists with six shots on goal in eight appearances.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

Florida Panthers forward Kyle Okposo will be back in the lineup for Thursday's Game 3 of the team's first-round series against the Tampa Bay Lightning. Ryan Lomberg (illness) made the trip to Tampa Bay after missing Game 2 but the team needs another day of feeling good before he's allowed to be around the team. Acquired ahead of the March 8 trade deadline, Okposo got into just six games with his new team, failing to hit the scoresheet with eight shots on goal in that time. The veteran notched 12 goals and 22 points in 61 games with the Buffalo Sabres prior to the trade. The Panthers lead the Lightning 2-0 entering Thursday's action.--Brenton Kemp

Florida Panthers forward Evan Rodrigues (lower body) is out for Tuesday's game against the Dallas Stars and is considered day-to-day. Rodrigues suffered a lower-body injury after blocking a shot on Saturday and isn't healthy enough to play Tuesday. His absence will make room for Kyle Okposo to make his debut with the team after being acquired from Buffalo last week. Okposo has 22 points (12 goals, 10 assists) in 61 games played and is more of a depth option at this point. His fantasy value is very limited and he does not need to be considered as a streamer.--Matt Garon - RotoBaller

Buffalo Sabres forward Kyle Okposo has been traded to the Florida Panthers in exchange for defenseman Calle Sjalin and a conditional seventh-round pick in the 2024 NHL Entry Draft. The draft pick would become a fifth-rounder if the Panthers go on to win the Stanley Cup. The 35-year-old has recorded 12 goals and 22 points across 61 games on a Sabres team that has disappointed again this season. A veteran of 1,045 career regular-season games, Okposo has recorded 242 goals and 614 points for his career. The Panthers have also acquired winger Vladimir Tarasenko while signing defenseman Gustav Forsling to an eight-year extension over the last couple of days.--Brenton Kemp
