Kenny Pickett Says Offense Is Ahead Of Schedule
2 years agoPittsburgh Steelers quarterback Kenny Pickett said during organized team activities that the offense is ahead of schedule heading into his first full season as the starter under center. The Steelers invested heavily in free agency and the draft to give Pickett more tools to spark a big jump for an offense that showed steady improvement in 2022. The 25-year-old finished his first NFL season with 2,404 yards, seven touchdowns and nine interceptions in 13 games (12 starts). It wasn't great, but he showed improvement down the stretch and is expected to take another step forward in 2023. Still, the Steelers don't have great receiving weapons and will likely remain a run-first team, making Pickett merely a low-end QB2 in fantasy.
