Kaapo Kahkonen Exits Sunday's Win With Injury
San Jose Sharks goaltender Kaapo Kahkonen suffered an undisclosed injury and had to exit the game Sunday versus Washington. With James Reimer battling an illness, Kahkonen made a fourth consecutive start but had to leave late in the second period when he was involved in a collision with Washington forward Evgeny Kuznetsov. Before being forced off, Kahkonen made 12 saves on 13 shots. Aaron Dell took over the crease and secured a 4-1 victory for the team with eight saves. Kahkonen has been in great form lately, so he will be badly missed if he suffered a significant injury, particularly with Reimer's status for the next game unknown at present.
