Jordan Howard Working To Improve Pass-Catching Abilities
7 years agoChicago Bears running backs coach Charles London said running back Jordan Howard made it a priority this offseason to improve on his pass catching. Howard is catching passes before, during and after practices. “We’re working on hand placement … just his focus and concentration, hand-eye coordination and things like that,” said London, who is Howard’s third position coach in as many seasons. While Jordan hasn't had more than 29 catches in his two seasons in Chicago, he could see more work on third downs in 2018. However, Tarik Cohen is expected to see his role expand greatly in a pass-catching role out of the backfield, so it may not matter much if Howard improves his hands. Howard will be an early-down workhorse, but he's a fringe RB1/RB2 fantasy back.
