Pittsburgh Penguins center Jeff Carter is nursing an upper-body injury and is considered day-to-day. The veteran wasn't able to suit up for preseason action against Columbus at the weekend and he will also miss Tuesday's match against Detroit. Carter had his most productive season since 2016-17 last year with 45 points, scoring 19 goals and delivering 26 assists. He benefitted a lot from Evgeni Malkin's lengthy absence, which is something fantasy managers have to keep in mind whilst drafting their squad for the upcoming season. Carter will be stuck on the third line in 2022-23 unless the injury bug takes a large bite at Pittsburgh's forwards group.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
