James van Riemsdyk Penciled In For A Top-Six Role
1 year agoBoston Bruins left wing James van Riemsdyk is set to start life in Beantown as a member of the top six. Bruins head coach Jim Montgomery has told Steve Conroy of The Boston Herald that he expects to pair Pavel Zacha with David Pastrnak, and van Riemsdyk will likely join the two at the start of the season. With retired duo Patrice Bergeron and David Krejci not available anymore, the other scoring line is set to feature Charlie Coyle with Brad Marchand and Jake DeBrusk. Van Riemsdyk had a very quiet year in 2022-23 with only 12 goals and 29 points in 61 games, but he will be nicely placed for a bounce-back season if he sticks with Zacha and Pastrnak.
