Toronto Maple Leafs goaltender Ilya Samsonov is expected to be between the pipes for Tuesday's home game versus the visiting St. Louis Blues. After starting five straight games after his recall from the minors, the Russian sat out Saturday's 5-3 loss to the Ottawa Senators. The overall numbers are subpar as Samsonov sports a 3.38 goals-against average and an .879 save percentage across 21 starts along with a 9-4-6 record on the season. However, he has largely been brilliant since a stint in the minors as he sports a .926 save percentage over his last five games, winning four of them. The Maple Leafs also announced that goaltender Martin Jones has suffered an injury and rookie Dennis Hildeby will be the backup goaltender on Tuesday.--Brenton Kemp
