11 months agoSan Diego Padres outfielder Franmil Reyes (knee) returned to San Diego to have his right knee examined after an injury that has sidelined him for more than a week during the Dominican winter league. The 23-year-old was hitting an impressive .444/.510/.689 with three home runs, six RBI and 11 strikeouts to six walks in 13 games for Escogido. Reyes had an 11-game hitting streak before his injury sidelined him. Reyes should have a pretty solid role in 2019 after hitting .280/.340/.498 with 16 home runs and 52 RBI in 87 games with the Friars in his rookie year. Hopefully his knee injury is minor and doesn't cause him to get a late start next year.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
