Erik Swoope Waived By Raiders

The Oakland Raiders have waived tight end Erik Swoope after picking him up in late-May. The 27-year-old missed the entire 2017 campaign only to play in seven games for the Colts last season, catching eight passes for 87 yards. Swoope could land a backup role elsewhere, but it’s highly unlikely he enters the fantasy conversation. The move further secures Darren Waller and Luke Willson as the potential starters come Week 1, but fourth-round rookie Foster Moreau could also factor in at some point. Waller carries the highest ceiling of the bunch, and could wind up as a poor man’s Jared Cook this season for the Silver and Black.
