8 months agoChicago White Sox outfielder Eloy Jimenez (groin) remains out of the team's starting lineup on Thursday against the Kansas City Royals. This will be the fourth straight missed game for Jimenez, who tweaked his groin on Sunday. The White Sox have been optimistic that the 27-year-old will avoid a stint on the injured list, but if he cannot return this weekend, the team's tone could change. The left-handed-hitting Gavin Sheets will serve as the designated hitter again and bat cleanup on Thursday against Royals right-hander Seth Lugo. Sheets has only nine plate appearances on the year in four games and has a hit, an RBI and three strikeouts for the Pale Hose. He has never faced Lugo in his career.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
