Daulton Varsho Expected to Play in Rehab Games This Week
Daulton Varsho (hamstring) ran the bases late last week and is expected to start a minor-league rehab assignment this week, according to MLB.com. Varsho went on the 10-day injured list on June 1 with a strained left hamstring, but barring a setback once he resumes playing in games, he could return to the Blue Jays' lineup by late June or early July. The 28-year-old center fielder resumed baseball activities on June 6. If he starts his rehab assignment early this week, he could rejoin the big-league roster by the weekend. When healthy, Varsho is Toronto's starting center fielder. He got a late start in 2025 while recovering from offseason shoulder surgery, and although he's hit just .207 in 92 at-bats this year, he has also clubbed eight home runs and is a nice source of power for fantasy managers in mixed leagues.
