Dameon Pierce Could Miss 1-2 Games
2 years agoHouston Texans rookie running back Dameon Pierce (ankle) suffered a relatively mild left high-ankle sprain in the Week 14 loss to the Dallas Cowboys that is likely to cost him at least one game, according to sources. A source characterized Pierce's status as fluid and predicted that the standout rookie could return within a range of one to two weeks. No structural damage was revealed during an MRI exam on Monday, so he's expected to play again this year. Fantasy managers probably won't have the 22-year-old available for the first round of the fantasy playoffs this weekend. The Texans waived Eno Benjamin on Tuesday, so if Pierce is unable to play this Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs, Rex Burkhead and Dare Ogunbowale would split the backfield duties.
