Brenton Doyle Records Three Hits, Steals Two Bases Tuesday
2 years agoColorado Rockies rookie outfielder Brenton Doyle went 3-for-4 with a double, RBI, run scored, two stolen bases and a strikeout in Tuesday's 5-1 win over the Cleveland Guardians on the road. It was just Doyle's second major-league game, and he got the start in center field and hit eighth in the batting order. The 24-year-old outfielder went hitless in his MLB debut on Monday. Although the Rockies could send him back to the minors when Randal Grichuk (hernia) is ready to return from the injured list, fantasy managers in deeper leagues may want to consider adding Doyle for the short term for his power/speed combination, especially when playing home games at hitter-friendly Coors Field.
