Winnipeg Jets forward Axel Jonsson-Fjallby has cleared waivers and can be assigned to the American Hockey League's Manitoba Moose. The 25-year-old has split his 2023-24 season between the Jets and the Moose, recording two goals and five points in 26 NHL games while contributing three goals and five points across five AHL contests. While he has just 10 goals and 23 points in 99 career NHL games, Jonsson-Fjallby has tallied 22 goals and 43 points in 58 games over parts of the last three seasons in the AHL. The club needed to clear a roster spot on Tuesday when star center Mark Scheifele returned from a six-game absence and Jonsson-Fjallby is the one who is headed to the minors for now.--Brenton Kemp
