San Jose Sharks winger Alexander Barabanov (lower body) hasn't traveled with the team to Europe, which strongly indicates that he won't be playing in next week's Global Series games against Nashville. The two teams officially kick off the new NHL season with a pair of matches in the Czech Republic, meaning Barabanov is set to miss at least the first two games of the season. However, he is considered day-to-day, so the 28-year-old shouldn't be missing for long. Barabanov posted 39 points in 70 games in his first proper NHL season last year, earning himself a two-year extension.
