Alexander Nylander A Candidate To Start Season In Top Six
1 year agoPittsburgh Penguins winger Alexander Nylander could start the season in the top six, according to Rob Rossi of The Athletic. The Penguins will be missing Jake Guentzel (ankle) at the start of the campaign and Nylander is seen as a candidate to fill in for him and get a chance to impress skating with either Sidney Crosby or Evgeni Malkin. The 25-year-old will be aiming to nail down a full-time spot in the NHL in the upcoming campaign after skating in just 93 games since being Buffalo's first-round pick in 2016. He made nine appearances for the Penguins last season, scoring once and delivering one assist. For his career overall, Nylander has tallied 14 goals and 20 assists.
