Adolis Garcia Removed From World Series Roster
1 year agoThe Texas Rangers announced on Tuesday that outfielder Adolis Garcia (oblique) was removed from the World Series roster after suffering a moderate left-oblique strain in Game 3 on Monday night. It's a huge loss for the Rangers offensively, although it helps that the Rangers now have a 3-1 series lead after winning again in Arizona 11-7 on Halloween night. The Cuban slugger was having an excellent first postseason, batting a cool .323 (20-for-62) with eight home runs, a double, 22 RBI, two stolen bases and 11 runs scored in 15 games. Garcia homered in five straight games at one point, was named the ALCS MVP and drove in a record 15 runs in the ALCS. Infielder Ezequiel Duran replaced Garcia on the roster, but Travis Jankowski got the start in right field in Game 4 and went 2-for-4 with a double, two RBI and two runs scored out of the nine-hole.
