These fantasy baseball rankings are geared specifically towards NFBC's best ball leagues and scoring rules, but can be also used as a guide for all fantasy baseball best ball platforms and leagues.

NFBC Best Ball Rankings Overview

Every fantasy baseball platform is a bit different -- they may have different scoring rules, roster spots, position eligibility and more. It's key to know the format, and prepare accordingly with rankings and analysis geared towards the specific platform. NFBC is no different, and NFBC best ball leagues carry their own set of rules.

One of the biggest things to keep in mind with NFBC best ball formats is they are two-catcher leagues. That means that every team is required to start two catchers always. That changes things a lot with regards to catchers, and increases their value. As such, you'll see catchers higher up in these best ball rankings than "normal" fantasy rankings. You don't want to be left with junky catchers, let alone two of them. You won't survive.

Another big thing is position eligibility -- each platform is a bit different with how they calculate that, and NFBC has their own position eligibility rules that may differ from platforms like Yahoo or ESPN. For example, Mookie Betts is SS/OF eligible on NFBC, but is 2B/SS/OF eligible on Yahoo.

Lastly, if you're note familiar with fantasy baseball best ball leagues, they are basically draft-only leagues with no other moves or transactions made by managers throughout the season. Once a best ball draft is completed, nothing else happens from a team-management perspective -- there is no setting daily or weekly lineups, there are no trades, and there are no waiver wire moves. Every week of the season, the best combination of fantasy players on your team is automatically calculated and used to determine the highest possible scoring outcome -- even if they are the last guy you drafted and would normally be on your bench.
