Keaontay Ingram is a fantasy football waiver wire pickup option for running backs. Target him as a free agent add off waivers for Week 6 of the 2023 NFL season.

ANALYSIS: Keaontay Ingram (neck) has missed the Cardinals' last two games against the San Francisco 49ers and Cincinnati Bengals with a neck injury. However, he could return this week against the Los Angeles Rams and is listed as the team's starting running back over rookie Emari Demercado on the team's official website.
James Conner (knee) was placed on Injured Reserve, so touches are up for grabs in his absence, which will be at least four games. Ingram was the primary backup to Conner last year, and he began the 2023 season as the RB2. That said, he could have a real edge over Demercado.
Demercado has been a hot waiver wire add heading into Week 6, but Ingram could quietly be the better running back to pick up. It's worth evaluating in the team's matchup with the Rams in Week 6, but it could be too late to pick up Ingram if he proves to be the featured back on Sunday.
Fantasy managers who desperately need running back production should give him a look.
