DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks (Main Slate - 6/16/23): MLB DFS Lineups

Ronald Acuna Jr. - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, MLB Injury News, Betting Picks

The top daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on June 15 2023. Nick's MLB DFS analysis and sleepers for building optimal DFS rosters.

Hey, RotoBallers! I'm back with another Friday edition of MLB DFS picks. Once again we have a jam-packed main slate on both sites with 14 games on tap tonight. This is potentially a weaker pitching slate than we typically see with slates of this size so we'll have to get that right. There are plenty of offenses to choose from as always, though.

This article contains my picks for the 14-game main slate on Friday, June 16, 2023, for both DraftKings and FanDuel, which locks at 7:10 PM ET. Right now, it looks like the Cardinals and Mets game is the only game in danger of being postponed due to rain and that'll be something we have to keep an eye on throughout the day.

The lineup picks will range from some elite high-priced players to mid-priced options and value plays. I'll give you a few of my top pitching options and then some infielders, outfielders, and teams to stack. You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for other sports here. It's also essential to monitor injury news and today's MLB starting lineups.

DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Joe Ryan, MIN vs. DET ($10,600 DK, $11,400 FD)

Ryan is going up against a Tigers offense that broke out for eight runs against Sonny Gray last night. The Tigers' offense has perked up a bit this week as Detroit crushed three home runs off of Atlanta's ace pitcher Spencer Strider on Wednesday. Still, Ryan has a 3.72 xFIP and 27% strikeout percentage on the season. He's coming off two consecutive quality starts and has yet to face the Tigers this season. When he faced them last September, he struck out eight batters in six shutout innings. We should expect another performance like that tonight.

Yu Darvish, SDP vs. TB ($8,100 DK, $9,300 FD)

While the Rays are certainly no pushover and not an offense we prefer to attack this season, Darvish is simply underpriced here. He has a 3.81 xFIP and 26% strikeout percentage this season. Darvish is much cheaper than Ryan, but will likely carry less rostership due to their respective matchups. In his last start that wasn't in Coors Field, Darvish struck out nine in seven shutout innings against the Cubs. He might not do that again tonight, but he offers a very solid floor especially when considering his price.

Others to consider: Kevin Gausman ($11,200 DK, $11,20 FD) vs. TEX

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Shohei Ohtani- 1B, LAA vs. KC ($6,400 DK, $4,300 FD)

Sometimes you just have to ride the hot hand and that's exactly what Shohei Ohtani has right now. Ohtani hit a home run in all three games against the Rangers this week. He has a .328 ISO against right-handed pitching this season and gets a matchup with the Royal's Brady Singer tonight. Singer has allowed a .227 ISO to left-handed batters this season. The Royals also have the second-worst bullpen ERA in the league at 4.86. Ohtani is in a great spot here.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. - 1B, TOR vs. TEX ($5,100 DK, $3,300 FD)

Guerrero is so due to breakout and Friday night might just be the time for it. Guerrero has just a .027 ISO against left-handed pitching this season, but the Rangers' Martin Perez has allowed a .166 ISO to right-handed batters this season. Guerrero's price has come down and he won't be popular at all on this slate making him a terrific option in tournaments on both sites.

Tucupita Marcano - SS, PIT vs. MIL ($2,500 DK, $2,500 FD)

Marcano is one of the best value plays on the entire slate. He's a solid producer, underpriced on both sites, and has a great role batting leadoff. Marcano has a .196 ISO against right-handed pitching this year and will face the Brewers' Julio Teheran tonight. Teheran hasn't been bad at all so far with a 3.47 ERA in four starts, but his xFIP is significantly higher at 4.48. He's also allowed a .158 ISO to left-handed hitters, which plays right into Marcano's hands.

DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Ronald Acuna Jr. - OF, ATL vs. COL ($6,600 DK, $4,600 FD)

Acuna Jr. is one of the best players in the league. The combination of his .224 ISO and 13% strikeout percentage against right-handed pitching this season is very impressive even for a superstar such as himself. He gets another great matchup against Dinelson Lamet of the Rockies. Lamet has allowed a .182 ISO to right-handed hitters this season. Acuna is hitting .357 in June entering play Friday and is in a great spot to keep that going here.

Jesus Sanchez - OF, MIA at WAS ($2,800 DK, $2,700 FD)

Sanchez is way underpriced on both sites. He's getting a major ballpark upgrade going to Washington tonight for a matchup with Trevor Williams. Williams has a 4.92 xFIP this season and has allowed a .163 ISO to left-handed hitters. Sanchez has a .223 ISO against right-handed pitching this year. He's one of the best value plays on the entire slate tonight.

Corbin Carroll - OF, CLE vs. ARI ($5,400 DK, $4,400 FD)

Carroll is an absolute stud. He's not the top player in the projections tonight, but that and his price should keep his rostership low tonight making him a great option in tournaments. We're talking about a hitter with a .354 ISO against right-handed pitching this season who is also one of the fastest players in all of baseball. He's at home here and going up against Triston McKenzie, who hasn't pitched much this year but allowed a .148 ISO to left-handed hitters last year. Carroll makes for a good late-night hammer in lineups tonight.

DraftKings, FanDuel MLB DFS Stacks

Atlanta Braves vs. Dinelson Lamet

This one shouldn't be surprising. The Braves are in a great spot at home tonight, especially the left-handed hitters. Lamet has allowed a ridiculous .310 ISO to left-handed hitters this season. Matt Olson, Eddie Rosario, and Ozzie Albies all have at least a .191 ISO against right-handed pitching this season. Last year's rookie of the year Michael Harris II only has a .127 ISO against right-handed pitching this year, but had a big series against the Tigers earlier this week. Loading up on the lefties and Acuna Jr. makes a ton of sense for a Braves stack tonight.

Also consider: Pittsburgh Pirates vs. Julio Teheran

Teheran can't keep getting away with it, right? The Pirates are on the road in Milwaukee so they're getting a ballpark upgrade. Many of their hitters are underpriced in this regression spot of Teheran. Jack Suwinski remains under $4,000 on DraftKings and Tucupita Marcano and Carlos Santana are below $3,000 on DraftKings. The Pirates are the best value stack tonight.

Sneaky Stack: Miami Marlins vs. Trevor Williams

The top five hitters in the Marlins order are all in great spots tonight. Luis Arraez is just always in a great spot because he's the best contact hitter in the league and I already talked about how underpriced Jesus Sanchez is. Williams has allowed a .280 ISO to right-handed hitters this year and that also puts Jorge Soler, Bryan De La Cruz, and Garrett Cooper in play here. Outside of Sanchez and maybe Soler, I don't think any of them will be popular.
