Recent Update

8/16:San Diego starter Dinelson Lamet made one mistake against fellow rookie Jorge Alfaro, giving up a two-run home run in the fifth inning of Tuesday's contest with Philadelphia. Otherwise, he was dominant, allowing just the two runs and a total of three hits over seven full innings of work. Lamet struck out seven while walking one. He's struck out at least five batters in all but one of his 14 starts this season. He seems to have ironed out some wrinkles in his approach, particularly by throwing his slider more frequently, and has lowered his ERA by more than a run and a half in the last month. Lamet owns a 4.78 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and is striking out 11 batters per nine innings. He is certainly worth adding in mixed leagues and could be a valuable asset down the stretch.--Pierre Camus - RotoBaller
